Mission Hills - Gary Player Course

Well manicured in all aspects: greens, fairways, roughs, tees, and bunkers...a pleasure to play this course.

Fairways and greens were in good shape. 3 some ahead of us dreadfully slow. Otherwise a pleasant golfing experience.

Very much enjoyed the course and fellow players. As a former greenskeeper, I notice details re edges trimmed, fairway rough, etc. A negative standout was the bunker condition. The spinner would exit while lifting the blades and leave a pile of sand and leaves in his wake. Not smoothing out the mess nor leaving the rakes in the proper position. Tines up, strewen any which way. Total joke, and ecidently not audited or corrected by the supervisor.

FYI, when you look from the tee deck, all rakes should be postioned, in or out of the bunker, to resemble the letter 'T'. So as to least likely to affect play .

This was my first time playing in the Southern California desert and I was not disappointed. Coming from western Washington , warm dry conditions was a blessing. The course was in very good conditions for this time of the year(getting hot). The greens were almost perfect. Fairways were the same.

The scenery was fantastic with snow capped mountains and colorful desert landscapes. I will be coming back and bringing friends.

The fairways and greens are in very good shape. The layout is good for all levels. However,. once you’re off the fairway or in a bunker it’s a very different story. There’s no rough to speak of, mostly thin, bare lies of what seems to be weeds. The bunkers are inconsistent. Some not bad and others more like hard pan.

Also, the course could be maintained better from the standpoint of sand and leaves blown all over the place.

Very nice layout and excellent pace. Challenging but forgiving depending on your confidence. Greens roll nice and true and speed consistent.

Starting to look a little shaggy as Bermuda begins to come back and recent winds have added some sand to the course.

Overall one of the better values for this locale.

The staff was very friendly from the moment we got out of our car when they offered us a cart while they walked back!

Michael (starter) was super helpful and friendly and the round ended with Justin offering to ride with us to the car and he took the cart back.

In between, it was a great first round of the year (well, except for my game…ha ha ha) and there was GPS on the cart, which previously was not there.

Thanks for the memories and we will hopefully be back again before our vacation ends!

Nice course. Huge fairways. Enough trouble in back to cause issues. Good value.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Practice area was well maintained but range balls were cheap and low compressor, be nice to have a name brand range ball.

Course was in great shape! Sand in bunkers were fluffy and not hard. It’s a fun but challenging loop.

Highly recommend!! For the price in the Coachella Valley, can’t beat it.

Fun and challenging course. It has a very interesting mix of holes that require some thought. Pace of play is almost always above average.
