One thing that is always neat about Lely is they don't seem to care about foursome. I actually got to play by myself. I have never played in more than a twosome this year at Lely. I have no idea why. I buy a hotdeal thinking they sold 4 and then starter waves me out by myself or pairs me up with another single. And the course always moves quickly. Lots of groups of 1, 2, or 3.

The Flamingo at Lely
Beautiful resort course. Staff were great. Carts were clean and had GPS. Water bottles and ice on the cart a nice touch on a warm day. Stocked pro shop. Greens challenging and smooth. Plenty of water hazards to carry. One significant issue - the bunkers. Plenty of white, soft sand - but there are way too many. They are way too big. And they are located right along most drives landing areas (and greens) - penalizing even decent shots.

Nice coarse. Lots of character. Very challenging. Sand traps all around. Looking forward to playing it a second time. Club selection will be very different
