The course is beautiful & very challenging.
The course is beautiful & very challenging. Not for beginners as none experienced golfers will slow play considerabley.
an honest review
I Played Sunday morning at 7:30am and there were a few groups out already. Me and my buddy Steve were paired up with a couple from Wisconsin who were an absolute pleasure to play with. Course conditions were not excellent but weren't bad either. Some holes were cart path only due to the fairways being oversatured with water. I thought the tee boxes were a bit banged up, only saw the cart girl once and that was at the 16th hole. The course is challenging and has a wonderful layout, very scenic. Wind plays a factor on a few holes but the fairways are not tight so your weekend hacker like myself can play. Greens ran true, neither slow nor fast. I'll definitely play this course again. I really enjoyed it
The course is in good shape but kind of Bland. The course has a lot of sand.
Course was in good shape. There is a lot of sand.
If you live close it is worth playing. For the money and if it is a long drive for you I would play one of the other numerous courses in southern Florida.
Two courses Flamingo Course has a better layout
Get a lot of play, course is in fair condition. Greens are fast. Good practice facility free with the round. Driving range, chipping area, practice putting green.
Fair layout
The Flamingo course was a great layout, aesthetically pleasing and very enjoyable to play. We will definitely go back.
Great course to play
Flamingo lived up to our expectations and then exceeded them. The course was in great shape and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The layout is challenging without being punishing. My wife played with us and enjoyed the course as well. I would recommend the course and would play when I return to Naples.
Great layout needs work
I have played this course for years and have watched the conditions go from great to poor. The layout is challenging at my level but the tees and greens need work.
Hurry up at Flamingo
On the 17th hole we were very impolitely asked to speed up. We were three strokes behind the group in front and could see them getting on the green starting to put. When we finished we were unloading just as the front group was unloading.
Training is needed for this ranger.
VERY DISAPPOINTING CONDITION & EXPENSIVE
I have lived in Naples for over 20 years and have played both the Flamingo & Mustang courses many times.
The overall conditions (Greens, Fairways & Rough) on the Flamingo course have deteriorated considerably over the last few years. The pricing is an insult for the product they present.
In addition LELY does not have enough golf carts for the players they book which means you must wait for a cart instead of warming up for your round.
Overall a very disappointing expensive and frustrating experience. There are many other better options to play golf in and around Naples!
Poor value
You can find several courses in the Naples area that are in much better shape for the price. It was on the high end for public golf and not worth it. At $125.00 a round, I would not play it again. A $75.00 a round course at best.
A must play in Naples
A great course, well worth the green fee and in superb condition.
Terry plays Lely Flamingo
We did have an electric golf cart go dead after nine holes. Greens were a bit hard an did not hold shots all that well. The grass was not as nice as Cypress Woods where they have planted new grass two years ago.
Nice public course
Course getting a little tired this far into the season but still pretty good. Played lated morning/early afternoon and zero roll on the ball in the fare ways
Convenient scheduling
WE booked course on 48 hrs hrs notice an got the the first tee time.
Dated
My sense is that this was once a great course. Now it seems a bit past its prime. Greens look fast but play fairly slow. We got a significant discount through Golfnow. I feel sorry for those who pay full price for this course
The course has a very unique set up.
We had a great time on this course. Watch the dog legs, if you don't know the course, follow the map on the screen. Only one pin placement was wrong on the screen. GREAT ROUND!!!!!!!
Flamingo course
Fun and challenging layout that rewards the thinking golfer. Conditions are good and rough is visitor friendly. Facility was great but greeters were a little standoffish. Overall good day and would return.
Bill's excellent golf outing
Great experience on Golfnow! Love the site and rates!
GPS is a negative
The course conditions were nice. Best greens we played. The pace was nice also. As a first timer we were excited to see carts with built in GPS. Turns out they were useless. My partner said that is the first time when the GPS was a negative. Giving bad yardages and not updating was very frustrating.. Really detracted from the experience.
Flamingo course at Lely Resort, Naples Florida
Course is fun to play as long as you play the correct tees. If you play the championship tees or the blue tees and they are beyond your abilities, you are not going to have any fun. A number of challenging and
very interesting holes. This course is not your ordinary layout.
