Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Flamingo Island Course

First time playing the mustang course. In excellent condition and great to be able to have gps usage to know where to hit each shot. The bunkers come into play if one does not keep the shots nice and straight. There is plenty of water coming to play so make sure the clubs that you will play to avoid going to far. I will definetely be back to play this great course

The first time in 15 yrs of golf this has ever happened. The ranage was closed till 9am on my 6:20 reservation, which I was not let out until 7! The first three holes the sprinkles were turned on at the green. In waving down maintenance staff all 3 times I was ignored! The restroom was locked on the back 9 with a key broken off. On 14 of 18 holes there was maintenance crew working in bunkers, fairways, and on the greens. The cart gal was no where to be found. When I mentioned these to the clerk that took my fees his comment was "other then that how did it go"?

Played Lely as our last round for the week and was not disappointed as it was in great shape. Unlike a lot of the courses down here this one is not in between houses as much. Great staff and great track. Will be back for sure next time in the area.

Very interesting and challenging course, but fair.

Flamingo is one of my favourite courses as it presents a strong but fair challenge for a moderate golfer like me . It's always my first choice so long as the price is not too expensive.

However many tee-boxes were in extremely poor condition,which surprised me greatly as I had never observed this on previous visits.

We also had some extremelt heavy showers which meant that we could not finish the back nine

The two courses here are both excellent but Flamingo is simply more beautiful with more palms and water features.

Nice course, great challenge. T- boxes were a tad narrow as were a few of the fairways. Water hazards abound, but are manageable.. Loved the in Cart GPS and scorecard. Beverage cart was always on time and well stocked. Overall a great day and a good value. May prices should be a little lower and we hope to play more rounds here..... Final word....A good track, for a good price ,with Good friends==== A great DAY!

It was windy which made the course much more challenging. Overall it was in good condition with good greens. It is a bit expensive for my taste but I decided to splurge this time.

Course knowledge helps to know where the water is and where is the best place to play to.

The course is beautiful & very challenging. Not for beginners as none experienced golfers will slow play considerabley.

I Played Sunday morning at 7:30am and there were a few groups out already. Me and my buddy Steve were paired up with a couple from Wisconsin who were an absolute pleasure to play with. Course conditions were not excellent but weren't bad either. Some holes were cart path only due to the fairways being oversatured with water. I thought the tee boxes were a bit banged up, only saw the cart girl once and that was at the 16th hole. The course is challenging and has a wonderful layout, very scenic. Wind plays a factor on a few holes but the fairways are not tight so your weekend hacker like myself can play. Greens ran true,neither slow nor fast. I'll definitely play this course again. I really enjoyed it

Course was in good shape. There is a lot of sand.
If you live close it is worth playing. For the money and if it is a long drive for you I would play one of the other numerous courses in southern Florida.

Get a lot of play, course is in fair condition. Greens are fast. Good practice facility free with the round. Driving range, chipping area, practice putting green.

The Flamingo course was a great layout, aesthetically pleasing and very enjoyable to play. We will definitely go back.

Flamingo lived up to our expectations and then exceeded them. The course was in great shape and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The layout is challenging without being punishing. My wife played with us and enjoyed the course as well. I would recommend the course and would play when I return to Naples.

I have played this course for years and have watched the conditions go from great to poor. The layout is challenging at my level but the tees and greens need work.

On the 17th hole we were very impolitely asked to speed up. We were three strokes behind the group in front and could see them getting on the green starting to put. When we finished we were unloading just as the front group was unloading.

Training is needed for this ranger.

I have lived in Naples for over 20 years and have played both the Flamingo & Mustang courses many times.

The overall conditions (Greens, Fairways & Rough) on the Flamingo course have deteriorated considerably over the last few years. The pricing is an insult for the product they present.

In addition LELY does not have enough golf carts for the players they book which means you must wait for a cart instead of warming up for your round.

Overall a very disappointing expensive and frustrating experience. There are many other better options to play golf in and around Naples!

You can find several courses in the Naples area that are in much better shape for the price. It was on the high end for public golf and not worth it. At $125.00 a round, I would not play it again. A $75.00 a round course at best.
