Terrible golf experience
The course itself was average. Our tee time for two people was at 1:24pm and we left the course at 6:52pm after only finishing 15 holes. So, in 5 1/2 hours, we only played 15 holes.
The course was sending out five-somes. Of every group that I saw, they were ALL five-somes. We waited on EVERY hole.
It was by far the longest round I've ever played. That was my first and last time I played Lakewood CC.
Nice course, slow pace
Good quality for price. Pace is rediculous! Every par 3 is a wave up...5 1/4 hour round!

it took almost 6 hrs to finish 18. snail's pace, hard to get into groove, frustrating.
Reasonable course
In LA area one of good GC in summer, because of cool wind from seaside.
Well worth the drive...
Took my wife to her first full course and had a great time. Our tee time was right on time. The fairway has a great amount to work with. The greens are better than most course and pace was good. Looking forward to playing this course again.

Course is in excellent condition and staff was very nice.
Slow slow slow
This is a nice course, its just so slow. I teed off at around 11:00 am and completed the round way after 5:00 pm. way to many 5 somes on the course.
Slow
Slow play. Every par 3 was backed up three groups.
Don't play here on a weekend
Played on a Saturday. 4 1/2 HOURS to play 12 holes. Five some after five some. There were so many groups on the course that they ran out of carts. Therefore we had to wait at the club house for 30mins after out tee time to snag a cart from someone coming off 18. This would be a nice place to play if the starter cut tee times in half.
Slowest round of golf
5 1/2 hour round. Every golfer there hits from the blue tees and they do not wave up on par 3s. Slowest round I have ever been apart of. We got off the first tee at 11:32am and did not finish till 5pm.
Slow play
On front nine we had three groups almost on every hole. Marshall's no where to be found. Called pro shop twice finally Marshall showed up to say he warned the slow group but that was all he could do. Call GM later to see course policy still waiting for return call. Don't think they will call maybe that's why they have problems.
This course is nice to play
The front nine was play pace was good, then it back-up on the back nine. Had to wait to tee-off for 5 -10 mins. before we can tee off. Other than that, the course is a nice place to play.
Slow
Good course. Just slow pace of play 5 hours for only 15 holes
Nice Experience
paired up as a single with 2 other guys, we flew, played in 3:30. Fairways are firm, greens are fast spiked up in a few areas but overall condition was great. I think I payed $23 to walk .
