Wet but in great shape
I like playing here as I'm getting ready for a trip to bandon dunes and skylinks offers a fast and tight turf that closely simulates conditions up north. The greens ran surprising fast even though it had rained the day before. I love that they have rain collection pools but be careful as your ball may pool into them and its too deep to retrieve:( All conditions were great- tees, fairways and bunkers. Got around in 3:15 pace mainly because pending rain scared others away.
Long Beach Gem
Gotta play Skylinks it’s a gem in south LA County. One of my favs.
Not bad but not great
I’ve heard many good things about this course but it wasn’t as great as I heard it was in the past. Pretty straight forward layout, with no elevation change. Just some left to right right to left dog legs. Fairways are wide and sloped and run firm. The greens were nice and green, rolling around 10. The course gets generally windy in the afternoon so be prepared. The tee boxes could use some love and the same with the bunkers but for $50 in the afternoon can’t really complain.
Nice course and greens
I enjoyed playing this course. Staff was friendly and other golfers were nice. I would play here again. Just think it is slightly overpriced.
Waited for years to golf over here. But never should have. Will come back over here to golf some more.
Starter sucks
The older gentleman that was their sarter was unwelcoming and claimed I wasn’t on his list even though I had booked a tee time and paid..and he didn’t show up til 10 mins after my tee time started when I was stuck with 3 groups in front of me ..2.5 hrs for 9 holes is ridiculous
Skylinks
We just had a huge storm so the course needs lots of attention. I will be back during summer when it will be much greener and manicured.
