Night and day difference from the weekend before. Only a slight backup at 2 holes be 2-3 groups deep backups at each hole the previous weekend. The round took 1.5 hours vs 2.5.
They had a starter that helped. Excited to play again.
Wow. It took us over 2.5 hours to play the 9 holes. Each hole was backed up by at least 2, sometimes 3 groups. There was a group of 6 behind us.
Really need marshals to keep the pace going.

A very relaxing play.
Excellent and very friendly clubhouse staff. Did not demand an ID. We were a little bit early, despite that the staff sent us to the first tee.
Slow play and rough greens
Never expect too much from the course since it is cheap, but greens were really rough and play was slow. Course let a grroup of 5 play ahead of us. Didn't think they allowed groups of 5, but guess they allowed it because they were regulars. That just makes it suck for everyone behind them

Conditions and pace of play
Unfortunately the greens were in poor condition, different grasses and bare spots.
Tee box on 8 hole was dirt.
Sand traps were mostly gravel and hard.
Really slow pace of play, too many 5 somes!

me and my family have played here numerous times. the staff is always friendly and probably go above and beyond any other golf course i have played. now for the bad, and this is only for this one time. first i will definitely go back because i usually enjoy playing here. first off, and this probably should not be a reflection of the golf course but for me its difficult to isolate one from the other. the small cafe they have there, we had played the week before and a couple guys in our group were at the course earlier and had the burgers from there and they highly recommended it so we go there early this week so we can try it and well its closed, bummer number one. second and most important our tee time was set for 8:50am. we got there around 8:30 and could see the back up at the first tee of numerous golfers. we check in/pay and i ask at that time about back log of golfers at the first tee and i am told go to the first tee and they will take care of you there. the three of us in my group go and there seems to be no real order there and i couldnt tell who was in charge there. after figuring out who to talk to i talk him and tell him we are here for our 8:50am and does he know how long to which he responds "probably tomorrow at dawn is when you will tee off". i dont take offense to it but then i realize there are literally about 20 of us waiting to tee off and at around 9:15am the gentlemen in charge asks "is anyone here for tee time before 8:30am?' . then i am noticing groups of 5 are teeing off, yet when i reserved it was max of 4(2 other golfers would have joined us but since max was 4 they went to a course closer to their home). needless to say we finally teed off around 9:35am. i am not sure what happened but it seems, they were letting stand by's get on which doesnt bother me but they should prioritize people who have scheduled tee time, because just to let you know we have Lives outside of golf and might have had things to do. i am speculating in regards to them letting stand by's on but first they should have given a more definite time frame and also a bit of an explanation. as to why they were behind.

The weather had changed drastically from San Clemente to Long Beach. The ambassador was so kind to bring me a jacket! There was no way I could have played without it.
Saturday, we played a couples game, my wife and I, and a friend and his wide. Our wives are new to golf, our pace was low, but the overall speed was perfect for them. They didn't feel rushed. They Enjoyed the day.
Course is in bad shape, no maintenance at all except maybe the greens witch are full of weeds.
Golf course is in need of TLC. It has a lot of potential of been a good short game golf course.

Customer Service Sucks
Poor check-in service, over booking of tee times, and they don't care if you play or not.

Oversold the course
We waited for 49 minutes past our tee time, then waited another 30 minutes at the 5th tee. We walked off prior to hitting our first shot at the fifth. My tee time was at 9:10 am and walked off at 11:15 after only 4 holes. They need to figure it out!!!!

This course is in ROUGH shape. It is too bad, it has a great location AND some of the best green designs I've seen on a short course. BUT the course condition - where there is grass, it is plentiful; but there are too many spots with no grass. It is my first time in 55 years of golfing to see a course roto tilling it's bunkers, ALL were unplayable. The greens were VERY bumpy, an amazing mixture of grass types and weeds. IF they spent some money, this would be a very cool little course. But perhaps the cheap greens fees preclude maintaining the course. It's really too bad.
