Victoria Golf Course
About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

False advertising
The photos promoting the course here on Golf Now should be illegal. The course in the pictures looks great. The real course has no grass and looks like a WW2 battle field. Fox holes, mud, you name it, it’s there. This might be the worst course in Southern California. I don’t think anyone would care if they developed houses here and closed the course.
Absolutely the worst car I’ve ever played on. I can’t believe you would even have them on your webpage as a golf course. There was no fairway grass. None I played on dirt and then the Cart died.
This course has very good greens
The course is in horrible shape. There is grass on only 4 fairways. The greens were in pretty good shape. Golfers should learn to fix ball marks. Turn it into an executive course until the fairways are re-done. Put mats from 100 to 200 yards out and work around them.
Hope you like dirt
There was a lot of dirt. But other than that, it was fine. Great if you’re just learning and want
To practice without breaking the bank
Literally the worst golf course you will ever play
I understand that for $45 including a cart, you can’t be too picky about which golf courses you’re playing. I just truly can’t understand how this golf course is allowed to stay operational. Almost every single hole is just dirt. Tee boxes are fine, greens are OK, but besides that it’s literally just dirt and I’m not really exaggerating. It is sincerely the worst golf course I’ve ever played, it’s an abomination to the game of golf, and under no circumstances should you play this course if you have ANY other option. If you are like me and are wondering why there are so many last minute tee times, that’s why. My advice? Forget about the last minute round you’re itching to play, and book a tee time in a few days. It’s not real golf, and you will regret your decision
Improving
The new GM is super friendly and has made a lot of improvements since taking over. While the fairways are not quite up to par, please know they are working on it. This course has a lot of potential. The greens are very nice.
Super nice GM and course
Love the gm super nice staff and nice course over all besides the fairways
Have the proper expectations
DO NOT play here expecting a regular golf course. There's a reason why it's so cheap, yet you can get a tee time pretty much whenever you like. Between being a weekday, the Hot Deal on the GolfNow app, and a tee time credit from GolfPass+, I paid $15 (cart included). I'm just getting back into playing courses, so this is perfect practice for me.
Terrible fairways
This was the first time playing the course, but was warned the fairways were terrible.. I didn’t want to believe it because the person who said the fairways were terrible played during COVID.. I figured they should be good by now .. I was totally mistaken and the fairways stiill were terrible with patches of grass every 30 yards were the sprinklers heads used to run.
You can see this course has so much potential if the city just put some time and money into restoring the course to what it used to be at one time.. The greens were well mainted which was the only plus..
The pic I attached only tells one story..
It’s a wreck
The most bombed out golf course that isn’t actually in a war zone is still fun to play. The grounds crew watching videos on their phones while they lurk in their tractors just close enough to the tee boxes and rev their engines in my back swing and the old timer chipping nine balls onto the green in front of me are just a few of the unique features of this course. This place is a monument to the concept that golf is the most fun you can have while angry. Use the scorecard as a map and make up your own rules because the USGA rules are effectively suspended after you lose a ball down a gopher hole in the middle of the first fairway.
Anarchy in the South Bay
The only thing worse than the course conditions is the absolute disregard for any of the USGA rules of golf and the most basic sense of golf etiquette by the lovely people who play here.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone
First off, the staff in pro shop, would rather talk to their colleagues than help U at the counter. The course was nothing but dirt fairways, greens were the only reason to finish the round.
