About
The traditional tree-lined fairways undulating greens and the best finishing holes around create a complete journey through the property. A par 72 measuring 6650 yards from the back tees Marsh Hawks greatest defense are narrow fairways and strategically placed bunkers. The real beauty of this golf course lies within the contour of the holes around natural lakes and elevation changes that can delude your depth perception.
Marsh Hawk has played host to the 1998 and 1999 Virginia State Opens Monday qualifying for the 2005 2006 and 2007 Nationwide Tours Henrico County Open and the Monday qualifier for the PGA Tours Michelob Championship for 12 years straight.

Great introduction
Played twilight during the first week of fall. The course is beautiful and the greens are fast. Houses are around, but you have to be way off to worry about them. Will play again soon.
Points for new people:
1) no carts in parking lot. Bag drop recommended.
2) Playing 9 on Blue Heron leaves you Miles from the clubhouse. There’s a point where 5 & 14 cross. We’ll try going from 4-14 next time.

GR8 deal on golfnow.com on a very nice course
Course was in GR8 shape. Greens were real nice. Wish the course had better markings. They do provide a yardage book, but being 68+ I couldn't read it on the course without going back to the cart for my glasses.
We were paired with another nice group of seniors and all of us found the Exit points for carts on the fairways too far from the green. The exit points were about 100 yards and we all kept being around 70 yards out for our final shot to the green. Became a lot of walking.
But other then that, a great day and a nice course to play. Would definitely play again

Course is looking great. Green-side bunkers could use a little work. Fairways in great shape. Greens are tough to read but they are hittable! Keep offering hotdeals on this course and we will keep coming back!

Great Course
Played Blue Heron and course was well kept. Greens had been aerated 3 weeks or so and were running good and true. Fords Colony is always a great place to play when dry. At this time greens and fairways were good. Bunkers where ok based on all the previous ran. Murdocks is good place to eat hamburger or pizza

A True Country Club at Public Course Price
First time playing this beautiful course at Ford’s Colony, Williamsburg. Considered by staff as the best courses on site to play. Well placed shots score well, but a stray or poorly struck ball provides various challenges. The island greens are fun to negotiate, with water on many other holes. Blackheath, in my opinion, has been the best I’ve played in Williamsburg. Don’t forget the professional practice facilities and the experienced staff. Curbside service at its best.

Great find
Really enjoyed playing this course. The conditions were perfect and the weather was ideal. Unfortunately, we encountered a foursome, which eventually let us (a twosome) play through, and a twosome that did not, and that would have benefitted more from the driving range. Too many golfers playing from inappropriate tees. But the course was lovely and we had a great day regardless.
