Great Course

The staff was great, the ranger, the young lady int eh pro shop and the lady in the snack area offered us ice for the cart.

I have been playing a while and just feel that each time i come to this course it just gets better and better.

The course itself was in great shape, each hole we played did not disappoint.

Always a challenge

Course layout is superb. One must stay in the fairway in order to shoot a good score. Rough is challenging. Bunkers are fair. Greens need work. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

Course Under Construction, Very slow pace of play

The first tee was closed so the par 4 played only 220 yards. Then, when we got to hole 9, which was a par 5, they had a teebox at 90 yards because they were doing tile work in the fairway. Pace of play on the back 9 was 3 hours. When I called the clubhouse, they sent out a ranger who said "It's not common for it to slow down on the back 9." When we got to where we could see holes in front of us, there were 3 empty holes in front of the slow group. What did we pay greens fees for if they weren't going to manage their course?

Great views. Challenging course

Tale of 2 nines. Front is open and back is tight with tremendous elevation changes. Very challenging from back tees. Par threes are impressive.

Used cart

Played in May and a number of holes were already in bad condition, either burnt out or due to drainage issues. We took a cart and there were a bunch of holes (5?) that were cart paths only and then several other holes that had steep hills so the cart couldn't be be used in large sections of the fairways. Also, a number of blind shots so if you're unfamiliar with the course, you're at a disadvantage.

Great experience

Saw many reviews with negative comments about the course and the staff, but I thought the course was amazing and the people were great. My only complaints were there were too many people per group and it took over five hours to get all the way around, and also there were so very many black flies or gnats or something that swarmed us the whole time to the point of being miserable. Of course the golf course cannot control nature so I just recommend bringing a Thermacell or some outside bug spray, might would help. I purchased bug spray in the clubhouse but it didn’t help at all. I know that they can’t fully govern pace of play either being in a tourist destination, but other than the bugs and being so crowded (expected the crowds though) it was amazing. Probably in the top 3courses that I have seen with some incredible views. Other reviews complained about maintenance being done, and we did see some but surely people realize that maintenance is required. Very very pleased with this course and I look forward to trying it again next time I visit the area.

Good time

The check in staff was a little short probably tired of tourist. The girl in the kitchen was nice just short handed because of a callout. Kitchen didn’t have a great beer selection. Course was good though. Good condition. Pace of play was slow. Like real slow. For a Wednesday at lunchtime. Overall good experience.

Great choice - HIGHLY recommend

Played the back nine twice. They had a scramble on the front. Played 25 yrs ago and it is much nicer than then. Elevation changes are insane. In a good way. Views are amazing. #12 is one of the most unique and picturesque holes I’ve ever played. Carts were great, staff very friendly. Pace of play great in the afternoon. #17 is unfair but a beautiful hole. 220 par three uphill. Plays about 240. Impossible for a person who hits driver 210. Hit it well and yes I was about 30 yds short down a mountain. Only negative is cart path only on numerous holes appears to be year round. VERY difficult waking to and from and guessing distances.
