Perdido Bay Golf Club
About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

First & Last Time
I drove the cart, regardless whether my wife road or not $25.00 charge just for my wife to ride. She doesn't play, just likes being with me. Coming off of 18 green, refreshment cart FINALLY comes by, "you guys wanting anything"? We just started laughing. You can't even drive the cart to pick up or drop off your bag. Cart paths are not the smoothest. Staff was nice.
Good for the money
$40 on golf now. It’s a $50 golf course but not much more. Great restaurant bar staff with reasonable priced food and drinks. Good fairways. Very soft and slow greens but in good condition. I’ll go back
First Time At Perdido Bay
Great day at Perdido Bay Golf Club. The entire staff was very customer centric. Very scenic golf course. Pace of play was perfect. On our next trip we will play it again.
A little disappointing
Had heard good things about this course from a friend a few years back, so we decided to give it a try. Course was firm and fast, fairways were firm and full, greens were also hard but in good condition, somewhat receptive with wedge shots, not so much with mid irons, rolled well but slightly slower in pace. Tee boxes were sparse in several places and pace of play was a little slow, but course was somewhat crowded and backed up at the twelfth hole tee box. Unfortunately we only were able to play eleven holes before a storm with intense lightning and torrential downpours came through causing a suspension of play. Course was not up to the standards spoken about from previous years.
Pretty decent course, I do not think its a 100 to play course, it’s private I think I expected a little more.
Cart guy was the nicest friendliest personnyou could meet. The young man that checked me in could have been a little kinder.
Solid Choice
This was the only round of golf I played while in the area. It was about what I expected. There are some very challenging holes and some others that are pretty straight forward. Greens were on the slower side and soft. Fairways were fast and dry, starting to get brown due to the hot summer. A few tee boxes were struggling, sandy with very little grass. I’d play it again. Staff was very friendly and eager to help talk to you about the course.
Great course, horrible management
Do not bring the elderly or beginner level players, made us skip a hole for being behind on pace, track by the carts that started 15 minutes before we started the round. We were told we were 3 holes behind when we skipped and the group was walking off the green the second we got to the tee box. Beautiful course but would recommend courses like craft teams in foley or peninsula on fort Morgan, they are both well worth drive and much better managed course than this course. I will never be back and will be going out of my way to let everyone I play in tournament golf with the same thing as this review.
