About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Nice course
Nice course, great layout. Don't understand why the traps are" feels like clay with grayish/blackish dirt on top" ???? Got beautiful white sand all around us but they put that crap in the traps. If it wasn't for that this would be the best course in our area and I'd continue to drive from Gulf Breeze about an hour drive to play it but with the crappy traps I'll think twice about it before going again.

We had a party of 3. They paired us up with another single no big deal. They then wanted that stranger to share our cart. Not to happy about that but whatever. We where an hour early so we could warm up on the range. Once we got to our tee time the other single was there and had his own cart. So we thought okay cool I guess we don’t have to share carts. The starter said nothing about it. We start the round having a good time. Buy stuff from the cart girl along the way, call in an order for burgers to grab on the turn all is well. Then we get to hole 12. The marshall pulls up behind us and says “HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!” talking about us having 3 carts. Then says that we are playing too slow and that we need to pick up the pace. Mind you that I rarely saw anybody behind us. He says “I guess we will let you finish like this” “but you got a big group coming up behind you so pick the pace”. Ok. We play that hole (which I birdied) pull up to the next hole which is a par three and the monitor that tell distance on the carts are way off so we hit the pin with a range finder. Marshall pulls up and starts yelling “ WHAT ARE YALL DOING?!” We just pulled up been there less than 1 minute. He proceeds to belittle and threaten us. So I got my clubs off the cart and left the cart on hole 13 and walked away. I will not go back. What could have been a great day was ruined for me. Most of the staff was nice and friendly but unfortunately the Marshall ruined the day for us. I am very unlikely to continue using this app/site for any further bookings because of this.

Disappointed
This course is below average in layout and condition. Reminded me of a muni. Okay for some golfers but I was expecting much more. Worth $25.00 to $30.00.

Bad Conditions
We were charged full price even though we did not have full used of the golf course. It was cart path only and we are disabled. Very poor experience and we were over charged.

Golf course
This was a really great track. Fun course to play however greens were so slow and not cut.would come back however but the greens were pretty bad

Okie golfers
We reserved on GolfNow app what we thought were 2 reservations. Turns out we only had 1 reservation for $35. They made us pay another $75 for the other player, and stuck us in a five-some group. One of the other players in the five-some had his wife just ride along and was charged over $25 just to ride along in a cart already being used by a player on a third cart. Just a $$$$ grab for vacationing golfers. There was no snack cart at all on the course, and only 1 water cooler with any water for the whole course. When we checked in.... to find out you can't take the golf carts into the parking lot to load and unload. Only has about 40% of the course with a cart path. The edges of the fairway and greens look like the had been mowed and needed baled, guess they don't mow much! Staff made no attempt to engage or assist us. Horrible experience, won't recommend or return ever again!!

Getting better
I haven’t played there for 1-11/2 years.
They have been doing better at overall maintenance but still could use basic improvements w tees and sand traps.
