Riverwalk Golf Club
About
A collaborative effort by Ted Robinson Sr. and his son has resulted in a most scenic championship layout. The championship 18 meanders through mature eucalyptus trees, tall palms, and majestic oaks. Sparkling ponds contrast with the dozens of white sand bunkers and the emerald green, Bermuda grass fairways.

Coming Back
Very accommodating. The course is in decent shape.
No Adult Supervision
While I believe this course can be a fun outing, there is a noticeable lack of adult supervision. Today I was paired with two gents who not only refused to shut up while I was addressing and playing my ball, but actually walked directly in front of me commencing on hold number 1. I did see a couple Marshall’s out and about but they lacked the spine to actually correct rude behavior and failure to observe even the basic rules of decorum on a golf course.
What truly bothered me was observing a fellow golfer with her chihuahua tethered to her cart and actually complaining about her animal almost being hit by an errant tee shot. What kind of a course allows this type of activity? I know the marshal had to have seen this woman and her dog.
I will not be spending any more of my time or money at this venue until such time as I am convinced the staff has learned the etiquette of the game and agrees to enforce common sense rules on the course. Very unprofessionally managed.
Nice to be back at Riverwalk..........
Been a few years and finally got back here. Glad they included a cart with your tee time again. Seems the course is being worked on, a good sign. Fairways were green and the greens were really good, kinda slick so don't bang em too hard--please fix your marks though. We all seemed to have a good day all around. I'll play again if i m able........all right.........
Sad that they let this course go to wast
I use to play this course often now I know they sold it and in a few years it will be nothing but apartments but to let it get to this condition they might as well close it now. The cart girl as always is great, the people in the pro shop are great but that's about it :(
Nice course
Greens are in very good condition, most fairways are in good condition with good grass.
Like the course layout, intersting and challenging
Exactly like in the title of this review. Fairways and tee boxes are in below average condition, greens are very good, not very fast.
It's the layout and the always perfect (cool) weather bring us back over and over again. Will definitely come back in the near future. Sad to know it's going to be converted to city park, etc.... it's a such unique course setting in the middle of a busy city, feeling that you are in a different would!
Strongly recommend to keep the course open! Business is so good that tee times are all booked up and people live and work near by, plus people like me in north country can have a round enjoyable golf in this pleasant environment.

Poor conditions and pace of play
I chose a early tee time (6:30 am) looking to avoid slow play, 3:45 and only have play 14 holes and yet again close to 5 hour round, talk to the Marshal and he just said that it wasn’t that bad, man, course in very poor condition, man, Covid screw golf, bunch of people that doesn’t understand pace of play and course management in most courses just don’t care!
Fairways were disappointing!
Staff was great, but the fairways are in sad shape, most were void of grass, Greens were beat up, my playing partners and I fixed at least 5 ball marks each on every hole! Bunker sand was missing on many hazards, hard wet ground is no fun. Over all disappointed in the condition, probably won't play again until I hear things have improved. Fun challenging course though.
Over-priced, burnt out course, 6 hr round
Go elsewhere. $80 round that would have taken 6+ hrs if we didn’t quit after hole 14 due to slow pace of play. As we drove our way thru the last few holes, it was clear a group of college bro’s were holding up the line, shotgunning beers and cranking music with no one actually hitting on the tee box and no groups in front of them. Course badly needs at least one staff member driving around pushing these types of groups. Course also looks very thirsty. Bald spots everywhere. Greens were ok to be fair. All this for the price of what it costs to play Torrey.
Great day at Riverwalk Golf
Enjoyed the day. The pace was outstanding. The Marshall patrolling the course was super. He helped locate a foldable chair we left somewhere along the course.
I like the layout of the course with some fun challenges. The greens are in pretty good shape.
