Nice course!

The course was in great shape and pace of play was excellent! We enjoy going to Craft Farms every spring break because kids play free. Ready to go back!

A challenging but fair course. Slightly harder than Cypress. Great layout and mix of distances/challenges from hole to hole. Craft Farms has become our favorite location to play in the area.

This is Craft Farms' Better Half

Cotton Creek may pose a slightly stiffer challenge than does Cypress Bend, but I felt like it also has more character. There are a couple of forced carries and opportunities to bite off doglegs that keep things fun deep into the round. Conditions were great, other than a couple of bunkers that needed some attention from the grounds crew. The greens are challenging but fair...there are plenty of breaks, but you can see them, and the surfaces are graciously consistent.

The course was absolutely packed, though, so pace of play was a real issue. And even though I've played there several times, I still feel like Craft Farms is a little overpriced (although that could be said of pretty much every course in the Gulf Shores area). Craft Farms is still the third-best golf facility on the Alabama coast behind Kiva Dunes and Peninsula, yet their greens fees remain very high.

Later this summer, Craft Farms is going to bump up its greens fees back to spring levels (presumably to coincide with Kiva Dunes' closure and renovation). Craft Farms will remain a solid go-to option, but if its greens fees are right in line with Peninsula, then Peninsula will be the better bet.
