The Links at Bodega Harbour is conveniently situated along the Sonoma County Coast, only an hour from San Francisco and two hours from Sacramento. Its location perched above the Pacific also provides stunning ocean views. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.in 1978, the back nine was the original course before the front nine was added nine years later. Jones designed a traditional Scottish links layout complete with rolling fairways and fast, undulating greens. There are almost 100 bunkers strategically situated throughout as well as thick patches of native coastal rough that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The golf course is not long but it requires both skill and strategy. The final three holes are not only the most challenging, they also boast the most breathtaking views.

5+ hour pace of play

Normally, The Links at Bodega Bay pace is play is really good. Not on this day. We started on the first tee with 2 groups from an earlier tournament showing up to complete holes 1-4. 3 hours for the front 9. NO STARTER. After the tournament group left after #4, we hand to continue with 2 foursomes that were obviously trying to hang out with each other slowed down play even more. We saw the marshal twice. When we complained to him, he told us he would talk to the groups in front. WE NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN !!! It will be awhile before I visit the course again.

Bodega is awesome!

We like this course very much. Quite challenging, lots of interesting landscape/setups, good views, and nice staffs. It is a Cinnabar near a beach. Excellent pace of playing. We will invite more friends and come back later!

Great day at Bodega

Good day with the guys and the course was in great condition with little wind and it was about 72 degrees which was perfect.

Fairways in great shape and greens start out a little slow and get faster as the day goes. Bunkers have real sand so that’s a nice thing to swing through the ball.

Really not for beginners as we had to wait a bit for the group ahead. Again, this course is a bit challenging.

Overall, perfect day out at Bodega.

There were groups of 5/6 ahead of us slowing the pace of play looking for lost balls. The group behind us hit into us , and rolled up while we teed of because they were impatient with the pace ahead.

Vastly improved

Played here 5-6 times over the last four years and the course is in the best shape I’ve ever seen it. You must keep your ball straight or you will loose many balls in the deep rough. You can tell they are putting a bunch of money into this place. Keep it up! Lots of big greens but also very steep bunkers. The course starts out with five brutal holes. Back nine is way more forgiving until you get to 18.

Beautiful day at bodega bay

My buddy Jordan and I went to play this gorgeous golf course last Saturday. We had a tee time at 2.10. From the first hole we had a blast. The course was in fabulous conditions. The greens were rolling true. The views from this course are really unbelievable!!! I will definitely play this course again!!!! be prepared for some difficult fairways and greens. Bunkers are magical due to set conditions from irrigation and several holes are very unusual such as hole 5, 16 and 17 so ask about then at the pro shop.
