Just wonderful!
Played Crystal Springs growing up. First time back in 30 years, and it hasn't changed a bit (in a good way!).
Such a fun course to play w/ all the interesting holes and elevation changes. Not your typical back and forth tree lined course. Great setting w/ abundunt wildlife.
Staff friendly, course in really good shape! Use to walk the course as a kid, not a chance anymore... take a cart!
Favorite course in the area
Fairways were in good condition, greens were nice and a little fast in some areas. Some tee boxes were a little rough but overall okay. Pace of play was pretty slow. Took almost 3 hours just to get thru the front 9, but the course usually isn’t that slow. Overall good experience and still one of my favorite courses in the Bay Area!!!
Very cool views and course challenges you
Love playing here. Prices are on the high side, but that’s golf for you. Cool seeing all the deer who really never get in your way. Total course management course. You can’t just let her rip and go. Need to be methodical about your shots. I suggest taking your punishment if you don’t have a shot to the green. Don’t take risks or take risks if you like, lol!
Did play from the blues and today was the longest I ever played this course tees were way in the back. 1 par 3 was 217 yards 🤪🤣
Great local course
Course was in great condition. Wind was non existent til the last few holes. Always a great time at Crystal Springs.
Nice round of golf at Crystal Springs
I have a friend who came from LA last weekend. We had a round of golf on Monday. It was so nice to play there. The weather was perfect and the course was great. Great job guys!
In good shape despite lack of rain
Scenic along reservoir. Course still green despite end of rain. Greens still challenging. Good course with minimal amenities.
April 2024 round
The course was in good condition but the marshall's need to get people to play faster or play from the appropriate tee's because the pace of play is way too slow.
Poorly maintained coarse, unfriendly staff
First of all there was no mention of the greens being aerated. They were bumpy and slow, There was no secondary rough, only 6 inch rough off of the fairway green. There was mowed grass left on the rough, totally unecceptable especially for the money paid for green fees. And finally the staff was not friendly at all and the club house staff were of no help. I would normally never write a review, but given the opportunity to truly give my opinion, I had to let it be known. The only good thing about the day was the weather which turned out to be beautiful, and the player we picked on the back nine his name was Albert a true gentleman and very nice guy, and a good bottle of Pinot Noir we opened after the round to shake off the brutal conditions which should have been disclosed. There should have been some kind of a discount for green fees.
Just let me know
On arrival found the greens were just aerated and the course was playing cart path only. Excessive sand was found on the greens while all the plugs were placed around the green. Poor drainage and lengthy second cuts made finding the ball very difficult. Had the status been posted aeration/cart path only I would have chosen some where else!
Miserable Round
Grass was overgrown, course was wet and muddy, lots of plugged balls, greens were aerated a day early. Equipment, shoes and pant legs were wet and muddy It was just MISERABLE and gross.
Exact opposite of my past experiences at this course, which is why it’s so disappointing.
Usually good, but not right now
Driving range under repair , greens just aerated, and tee boxes pretty beat up. This is usually a hidden gem of a course, but under some significant grounds maintenance. Should be good in a few weeks , if they can get golfers to respect divots and other use issues.
The course is in miserable shape. Grass in the fairways is so long that I couldn't find balls in the middle of them.
There were multiple temporary greens.
Lots of the cart paths had broken concrete.
Management has to do a much better job of caring for this course!
poor course management
The weather was good, some sun. The course was a swamp. Unable to sand without mud and water around your shoes. Luckey I did not fall on every swing. The management should not allow players on a course that is unplayable. I left after 2 holes. A unplayable course results in unhappy golfers. The guy in the parking lot next to me said he never lost so many balls. Had not seen this course this bad.
The Management SHOULD NOT be sending people out in these conditions. They just collect the fees.
Poor drainage
Can’t believe you charge $115 knowing the course is soaking wet greens are bumpy and water logged. Pace of play was a joke. Group in front of us were 2 1/2 holes behind called pro shop and was told there is nothing that can be done to that group. Course was so wet we lost balls in middle of fairway and the rough can’t be cut so good luck finding it in there. I really like this course but I know now to only play from May-November. Must needed drainage upgrade
