Totally. Good
Ground condition. is good. But. Too. Slow
Staff is friendly
Price is good
Good course for average golfers
This is a fun course in a beautiful setting, The recent drought conditions have taken much of the water (from the Carmel River) out of the picture, but there is enough trouble to make the round interesting, and the course is forgiving enough for average golfers. Very good value.
SLOW GOING
Starter rattled my wife. Said we were late. My iPhone said we were right on time. Condition of the course was very poor. Lots of leaves and white flowers on fairway and in the rough. Hard to find balls in the debris. A group two holes ahead putting like their lives were on the line. The group ahead of us called the Marshall once, but slowed down again. The course not on it. Our group went home at 12, after paying 79$ each. Bummer.
Not for the weekend golfer
Front nine is tough but the backnine is unfair. Course is too narrow for the average even above average golfer. Add wind to the mix and becomes imposible to play all the holes and have fun.
Well maintained
Signed up as a single. Played with two local golfers and had a very pleasant day. Most holes pretty straightforward with some holes challenging with large tree groupings.
Nice atmosphere
Fairways in good condition, sand traps excellent,
Greens a little below par, the rough was too high.
Beautiful views throughout of mountains. Because of drought, Carmel River bone dry. I really like this course and will play again. Some trees in the middle of fairways present challenges. Staff vey friendly and helpful. I played the East course
Great Course
We experienced a great round and we ll always go back!!!
Nice layout but bad conditions
Too much sand in the bunkers. Greens are bumpy and weed all over the course. If you can get it for cheap it's fine but this is Monterey and there are many better choices.
Most enjoyable
Much nicer than I expected! Will play again anytime I get a chance.
A very nice golf experience
This course is very attractive(lovely setting) . My only complaint and this is consistent is the terrible
condition of the sand traps. They would be difficult enough with good sand but with a few exceptions
most traps have little or no sand so it is easy to be
stuck in a trap or hit your ball too far getting out. The
only other complaint that I have is that they allow 5somes and will often send a single player out alone. I certainly think that it remains a good golf
experience.
Worth the Money
Played the course on a beautiful 75 degree day with my son. It is a fairly flat course with good greens and variety of holes. Great place to play 36 holes in one day as the pace of play seems to be very good.
We played in 3 1/2 hours. Sand traps could use some freshening up with new sand. Overall a nice
place to play. The starter was very helpful and friendly.
Tim - Pleasanton CA.
No fun
Couldn't find ball many times do to grass flowers and leaves .plus many roots that r close to surface dangerous for could get hurt
Excellent Value
Only downside was some daisies that made it difficult to find my ball at times. Otherwise the course was in good shape and pace of play was great. Friendly staff.
Challenging with trees and wind
A favorite
Local track I like. Good value with golf now. Can't wait to play again.
Need Colored Balls!!!
Bring plenty of golf balls due to the number of leaves on the course. Yellow balls are good, if not...you will lose a drive in the fairway, guaranteed.
Fun course. Great for average player
Relaxing day, let two go through and only a little wait on one hole.
Vacation spot
We vacation in Carmel a few times a year and always play one of the two courses and have a lot of fun and enjoyed playing here. Location is great and a value in price. Will be coming back in July.
Good fast greens.
Great greens. We got behind a group of 5 that had us wait every shot on the back 9.
Need a marshall on the course to avoid groups of 5.
very good staff
average condition, poor bunkers as usual. The East course is very scenic. To bad river is dry, drought.
