It was greater than we thought
It was excellent course that I've ever experienced. Course environment was seems like mid west golf course. Big trees made narrow fairway that made course was challenging.
But green was no undulation, quite slow. It was too easy for
low handicappers.
I prefer the East Course
I have played here several times. It is a very nice Carmel Valley course. I prefer to play the East however the back 9 on the West is nice as well.
Beautifully maintained course with great variety (East & West) courses
I play here a lot as I live close but the main reasons I like RC is the value. So much golf for the money, in a beautiful setting, a very friendly, helpful staff and well stocked clubhouse.
Fair and enjoyable
The greens are typically flat and consistent. The course has matured well with large trees and healthy fairways. A user friendly course. A couple of tough narrow holes.
Like the courses
Hope the West course gets some work done to bring it back to what it used to be. Would like to see the water holes filled with water like they used to be.
Pace was good, course (West Course) in great shape, tees played to full distance.
Played the West side, course was in great shape for February. Greens were in really nice shape and our pace was great. A little cool out there, but nothing you can do about that! Tee boxes were in fine shape and playing the full distance. Staff was great, condition was great - will get out there again soon!
Good for a kid or beginner
The course is in winter condition plus poor. Time to play so so. To get four hours we had to skip around. Tee boxes were terrible and greens not in great shape. We had to exchange are cart after four holes it was going to die. For a couse of this quality it should be cheaper to play at 1:54 it was still 42.00$
Great course with plenty of Monterey ambiance!
Have been playing the East and West courses for 20 years and they are ALWAYS in good shape. Hint....If you don't see a big break on puts............think straight!!
For the money there is no better option in the area.
Great course, lots of challenging holes and easy to walk.
very nice green and course.
I play here with my family every week. My wife and 7 year old son love this golf course because it makes them feel very comfortable. West course is long compared to East course, but flat. East course is more dynamic and shorter.
An enjoyable course to play, with great views!
Second time playing the East Course, I believe I like it better than the West Course. Will be back soon to play! Love the location and the great views!
Great course and experience, very challenging.
I travel around the country and play a lot of golf and use golf now. This was a "hot deal" and after I played I could not believe that we got to play such a nice course for such a low price. The staff, starter, and snack bar lady was very friendly. The course was in good shape, " played ball as it lies and no bad lies in fairway". The greens were large and putted very well. Large sand bunkers with deep sides, some were not easy to get in and out of. Once again for the price I paid I was shocked.
Nice course that you can really score on.
Nice conditions, friendly staff , the course also had nice practice and warm up areas. The scenary was also an added bonus, with nice picturesqe views of Carmel Valley.
lot's of fun!!
always in good shape,2 courses nice area. playing again today
Fun course with many trees
Feels like I was in cozy forest. Many trees make driver shots difficult, but worth to enjoy its atmosphere and warmth.
a very well layed course, out in a country setting
Most of the course is fairly flat if you desire to walk. It is a narrow layout so accuracy is at a premium. There are alot of trees so if mistakes are made, bogie is an acomplishment. A very fun and challanging course.
Friendly staff and very accommodating. Played the West course. Challenging long par 4's with some tight fairways. greens rolled very well.

Terrific Golf Venue
Rancho Canada has long been one of my favorite golf venues. Quiet, beautiful, well maintained, reasonable pricing, and tee times are pretty easy to be had. Perfect if you want to do a 2 round day or just one. The West is narrower and thus a little more challenging, but the East is not exactly easy by any means. I never get tired of playing these two tracks. This latest round was following weeks of rain, and I wondered what it might be like, and it was in pretty darn good shape considering all the rain it had faced in the weeks before. Not only that, pace of play moved along beautifully as I finished with another single in around 3 and a half hours. Great courses!
Beautiful landscape.
The greens were lumpy, every golf shoe imprint was visible and took its toll for some pretty lousy putting scores.
