Rancho Canada East
Selected the course at the last minute for a twosome. We got a great start time. There was not too much play so we actually got off earlier than our time. The course was in good shape, the greens were true and the entire course was in good shape. This time of year there tends to be alot of leaves but the grounds keepers were blowing off the greens as needed.
We finished in under 4 hours!
challenging
Love GolfNow. They offer gret times and affordable prices.
Great Value-Great Course!
Great course conditions, well maintained, fun and challenging course layout. Speed of play was excellent! This is a great value. I would play this course again in a heartbeat!
Great value
Well maintained. Best its been in awhile. One of the best, if not the best value in the Monterey area.
Great course, wonderful price.
The course was in great shape. Little slow paced about half way through that day due to a couple of tournaments in front of us that we caught up to, but otherwise was a wonderful day out on the course. Recommend playing here to everyone.
Very VERY nice course w/beautiful views throughout.
I live here and play both the East and West courses often. They are both well laid out with spectacular views. Greens are mostly flat but good siezed. We're older and play the "forward" tees now making the course fun at all levels of play. Staff is great and maintenance is way above average.
overall a very nice course for the mone
a little slow due to a five some, but other wise a nice course
a varied and challenging course.
A few holes are long (from the blues) and challenging (narrow fairways). Each hole is different, which keeps it interesting. The greens are fast and the grass is well-kept everywhere. Sand traps are sandy, not hard and full of weeds.
Great staff and well maintained course
Although neither course is overly long both offer challenging holes for all skill levels. The East, shorter by a couple hundred yards, is the easier of the two. Open fairways and big greens make the East course a scoring paradise. If you feel like more of a challenge play the West course. With narrow, tree lined fairways the slightly longer West course plays a few stokes tougher than the East. The pro shop staff is amazing and Tom, the usual bartender, makes a great cocktail.
In my opinion Rancho is the best value in the Carmel Valley.
I like to play in this course
Excellent course, all the services, If you like to walk, is easy to do it.
Bunkers need sand
Bunkers are very hard and need sand and fluffing, Greens are bumpy, T boxes are very uneven and not flat.
Fun course with great layout utilizing the Carmel River
This is one of my favorite places to play twilight golf. The multiple tee shots/approach shots over the Carmel River make it challenging and fun. Beware in the fall because the leaves dropping can make it hard to find your ball, even in the fairway.
Beautiful courses.....always in good condition
Both these courses are kept in very good condition all year. Their mini rewards membership offers the best value on the Monterey Peninsula. Usually very nice weather too!
For price, you can not beat it. Very good
Very good for price. The golf course is good condition.
Green seem to be little slow.
Great Great Public Course
I live in Carmel Valley and love playing Rancho. Golf Now makes it affordable for me. It's beautiful and it's fun to play over the river. The staff is the best anywhere. I take lessons from Aaron who's a PGA professional. He's taught me a lot. Everyone in the pro shop is consistently helpful and good-natured. Both the East course and the West course have their highlights!
Fun course
Took my friend out for a round on his birthday. Course was well maintained with friendly staff and good pace of play. We are both high handicap players, so we found the course challenging. Great course to play though.
Great lay-out around the Carmel river two awsome courses
I've played here several times and have enjoyed the mild weather. Both courses are very well maintained and fun to play.Their Practice range is grass, they have two putting greens and a chipping and sand bunker green. Great value friendly staff.
Great Deal for a good track!
We play out here 2-3 days a week thanks to GolfNow.com
Nice, old course feel.
I play here frequently. I have seen all seasons here with the many trees in the park like setting. The course feels tight but fun. You won't need your long woods all day- you get to use the whole bag of tools. I love the river flowing through the middle and the many bridges crossing it. There is always a feeling of quiet and peace here. I love getting stuck in my cart waiting for a green to clear- I can enjoy the views. Playing here is as much about the environment as it is about the course- but the course is great. Easy to walk, classic layout. Great staff and a grass driving range!
