Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Extremely slow
Playing as a twosome at 1 and ended up being a 5+ hour round with the group in front of us playing 2 holes behind the pace. Refused to let us through at the turn and no marshal to be seen. Nice course but spending 10 minutes waiting between shots makes the round far less enjoyable
Woodbridge
Tuff course when you are a hacker like me.. Shot over a 100 and that's bad for me.. The course can be pretty challenging unless you're on your game.
Fun and challenging
Overall, very good course. Only negative was the sand traps. So bad you couldn’t play out of them.
Course management is vital
This is a course that would be greatly helped by drone flyover videos. Too many of the fairway and greens fall off into hazards and out of bounds. Course maps are useless unless they have topo versions. As a result playing aggressive on many holes carries too much risk. Some of this can be overcome if you play the course often. As the course name denotes, there are a lot of wood bridges... that need to be replaced soon.
Great course. Well maintained.
no complaints. Maybe some labor on some bunkers could be used but greens are true. Fairways great. Fun course.
Pace
ZERO reason for slow play. To many wanna-be players that can’t break 100 taking over 4.5 hrs to play. Marshall’s, where are you? Take a chance playing a different course, this is what you get. Will never go back
Poor Social Distancing
Love the course.
The Pro shop forces you to pair up and share a cart with strangers if you’re a single—Very poor management of social distancing during pandemic—I ended up walking. (Tough walking course)
Also—the crew pulls pins way too early.
I’ve never seen a crew pull pins as early as Woodbridge.
Slow
Loved the course, pace of play over 4 hrs. Needed a Marshall, group ahead kept hitting 2 balls each off of EVERY TEE. By the end of the round group was almost 3 holes down.
I will never play out there again
One of the best deals around. Only negative was the group in front of us, their cart ran out of juice and we had to push a cart in our group the last 2 holes.
Great time at Woodbridge
They were putting a lot of work into the bunkers before it rained the previous week. Course is getting better and better in condition from tee to green. Great customer service as always from the pro shop!
Great course from any tee box
Staff in the pro shop is the best. Super friendly and as nice as can be. Wish it was my home course!!!
Only negative is I dont agree with pairing 2 strangers in a cart, the holes should have something in the cup and they shouldn't have water coolers out. TOO SOON. Don't always do what the Gov. says
Woodbridge Pin Pullers
It’s a challenging and tight course with slopey and quick greens. Course is in great shape, pro shop is friendly and engaging. I tend to play later in the day 2-4pm (enough time to finish before dark) and on multiple occasions they pull the flags out right in front of you when there’s plenty of daylight.. What’s the deal? Let people finish their round. Head Hancho in the pro shop must want to go home early everyday..
