Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Always a thrilling experience!
This course is always a thrill and you're going to either score very low, or you're going to have a really high score and lose a lot
The course is always in pristine and wonderful condition except the sand traps might be a little low on sand. The food is great if you're there at lunch time. I can't say enough, allways enjoy this course.Very tight and must carry creeks on many of the holes.
Just got new gps system.
Always a good time
This course never disappoints. Course is in great shape.
Will play again
Fun layout & moderate challenge. Traps needed sand, clean up rough and roll greens & better than many...got great golf now deal & will be back...
Great golf course
My wife and I really enjoyed playing Woodbridge. Great course, layed out well with a few "shot maker" holes. Very nice value
Woodbridge GC
First time playing. Solid conditions, fun layout and very friendly staff. Only complaint was pace of play. 4:40 on a Tuesday morning is ridiculous
Great course
Excellent conditions and a challenging layout....big greens are in perfect shape
Nice course had a great time
Awesome staff and practice area. Enjoyed the course and layout a lot. Will definitely be back. A couple greens were spotty but that seems to be normal for TX summers, not sure as I've just moved here but it doesn't seem uncommon. But overall a definite course I will return to happily.
Great for the money
Found the course on a Hot Deal from Golfnow. Extremely nice course for the price. I will definitely play it again.
Great for a Public Course
New to the area and this course was great. The usual expectations when playing a public course. The start was great. We were called up to start and the amount of time in between was great. No one on the starting hole and no one standing behind us waiting/rushing us to tee off.
First couple holes were great and fast, then (expected) we came up on a group of 'wanna be pros'. On knees reading putts and just playing too slow. Especially knowing a group has been waiting minutes to tee off. It's a public course so we expected that on a Sunday. All in all, the course, greens and layout were great. Will play again. Hopefully on a weekday.
in great shape
Pro at the shop welcomed us back & said we could tee off a few minutes early from our scheduled 10 am start.
Course is in excellent shape, especially the greens. Honestly, I was shocked & pleasantly surprised at how nice they were. No real "sand" in the bunkers, even around the greens - you're hitting off dirt, but at least it was raked.
Played as a 2-some, group in front of us was a 3-some, caught up to them on hole #3, waited at every tee box until #7, then waited every shot. Typical duffers who waited until the green cleared from 250 out then hit the ball 120 yds - EVERY TIME. (and didn't let the 2 women behind them play through)... Luckily there was shade to park the cart at almost every tee box.
still finished at just under 4 hours, but was frustrating, then funny - we started making bets on how long they'd wait & how far they'd hit their next shot...
The 2-some behind us who teed off 1/2 an hour later caught up around hole #8, then #12 after the turn. No marshals on the course.
However, we DID see Gina the cart girl 4 times during the round, which was greatly appreciated & needed in the 100+ degree heat.
Overall, a good experience & would play here again.
Course in good shape and price is right.
Scorching Hot day but it's July golf in Texas, normal.... Greens are firm and quick, smoothing out from aeration nicely. Tee boxes a bit hard; rough recently mowed and clippings need to be "baled" on a few holes to speed up play. Thursday late afternoon round- no on course beverage cart, but water jugs full. Stock up before you leave the clubhouse. Course is in good shape for this time of year. Need the yardage flags upright on the practice range.
course was in good shape - lots of tough carries, but fun.
Beautiful Layout
The gentleman who greeted me was very helpful.
I really enjoyed the course. Challenging But fair.
Thanks,Reggie Tinner
To muddy for me
This once was a great course you can tell. But now the greens are in bad shape from fungus and winter freezing. But it was the muddy conditions around the greens that was horrible. We cleaned our cleats every hole. This wasn't just because it rained the night before. The area around the greens as you drove up was 3 feet of mud from the cart path to jump on the green bank
Slow Play & Poor Conditions
We had to wait an average of 5-10 minutes before every shot. There was a 3-some that had 2 sets of clubs, a beginner, and bad teachers completely bogging down play. There was no evidence of a Marshall to get them going or off the course. The greens were in bad shape, very bumpy.
Nice course with some really bad greens.
Some of these greens were in very bad shape, such that when you putted, the ball spent as much time in the air as it did on the ground.
We had many lip-outs too, because the hole liner was only 1/16" below the ground, which essentially made the hole smaller. USGA requires them to be at least 1" below ground level.
That said, I really enjoy this course layout. The staff is friendly, and they did a great job of getting everybody off on time. We played in 4:15 in a four-some. My wife and I will usually play in 3:15, so it was slower than we'd like, but not slower than expected.
It has two drive-able par 4's, both of which require either a draw, or an incredibly good line with your tee shot.
Many of the traps were more like dirt pits, and yet some were well sanded and maintained. Not sure why though.
