Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Great course close to home
I really enjoy this course, Challenging course, five minute drive from the house.
Pace of play was horrible
Marshall did not do his job.
Foursomes all over the course and did not adhere to golf etiquette.
Wgc
I had a really nice time at Woodbridge country club. Nice fairways and good greens.
Beautiful Day
Gorgeous day for golf. Only 1 green had any problems, fairways were better than any I have played recently and course is always fun to play. Course in really good shape for early March.
Great Course for the Money, Bad course management
This is the second time I played the course and I love the course itself. Challenging enough and the course is in good condition for it being winter. The greens were soft and very fast. The pace of play was probably the worse I have every experienced. The only time we didn't have to wait was on the first hole, every hole after that we had to wait for the group that was 2 ahead of us to hit and then for the group in front of us to hit. Round took almost 6 hours, but the beer was price ok so that made it a little better. Probably need to invest in a marshall on the weekends
Slow pace of play
Course is good for the time of the month which in Texas February, however the pace of play was terrible this course needs an ambassador that pushes play along. This is the only thing missing from this course to make it a perfect venue to play for the price.
Great golf course
Woodbridge is one of the best golf courses we have played in Dallas during our vacation. Great value for money, great greens considering it is winter, quite a few challenging holes, pretty long from the tipps so it was very enjoyable for our son who is an advanced golfer. The staff was very friendly and heplful so we felt welcomed there. Next time we are in Dallas, we will definitely come back!
Winter golf in Texas
Course is pretty tough. NO flat greens here. Not a lot of grass in the fairways but it is February. Fairways were like hitting off of concrete. Guess people just don't fix their ball marks here. Staff was great and price was reasonable so I would say it was definitely worth the trip.
Greens are difficult but fun!
Lots of people at this course! Lots of member activities going on and we were still able to play in a foursome in 4 hours and ten minutes. We were never held up by the group in front of us and we played on a Saturday! It was super windy and 80 degrees! There is lot's of bunker work going on at several of the holes which leads me to believe this course is going to be awesome when it greens up! The Tee Boxes were hard as a rock. Without rubber tee's we probably would not have been able to tee the ball up on the tee boxes. The greens as insanely difficult to read but made the course more fun to play! Would definitely play it again!!
Blowing the Dust Off
This was my first round of 2017 after laying off for a couple months. I have played Woodbridge several times and always enjoy the course. There are some renovations taking place on the course at this time. Several bunkers are being redone so that may be a mild inconvenience to some. The greens rolled well and were quite fast. On the upside, due to the winter conditions, I picked up some extra yards with the roll out on my drives. I started as a single but joined up with a threesome midway through the front nine. Even though we spent some time looking for wayward shots, we still managed to finish in a little under four hours. The course also has a very good practice area that includes the range, putting green and another green for short game and bunker practice. The course conditions were good given the time of year. Once the renovations are done and we get into the prime season, I'm sure it will be excellent. Woodbridge is always worth playing.
Great layout
One of the DFW Hidden Gems of Golf... The Layout us Fabulous, and they're currently making more course improvements for a greater challenge... recommend playing this course!!!
Great Course
Very enjoyable afternoon. Staff is very friendly; fantastic practice facilities and greens are huge, undulating, and well maintained. Will definitely play this course again. The only complaint is the tee boxes could be in better conditions.
Mixed Reactions - Winter Conditions
Woodbridge is not for beginners. Some tight fairways; creeks and ponds come into play on ten holes and cause forced carries; few run-up opportunities. Layout challenges low to mid handicappers. Tee boxes thin and hard; fairways good for this time of year; greens dormant, but excellent for this time of year. Traps crusty, and many under repair. Areas under and near trees are rough (eroded) with many bare areas. Two short par fours (8 & 17) are fun.
Course had experienced heavy rain 3 days before. But the course and many greens looked like they'd been under water. Layout has too many weird holes. Food is excellent
Hole Locations
Whoever decided the hole locations must had something in mind... All the holes were in the middle of a slope and with fast greens. Every hole was a challenge which made you concentrate and think twice before you putt. It was really fun and kept me alert to get the difficult par.... Will go play again soon.
Put this on you playlist
The course is in great shape. I definitely recommend it. The greens are in great shape. The only negative is that the Par 3 tee boxes were moved up closer than I would have liked. But this gave me an opportunity to use my 54 and 60 degree wedges.
