Friendly Golf Course
Had a great day. Greens were is top condition rolling smooth and fast and very receptive to proper pitches stopping. The fairways are hard and grass is cut short which allows the balls to roll well. The rough was varied. Pace of play was moderate as the course was very busy. People were friendly.
Fabulous
Overall the course is playing truly nice. Fast greens but small target. Fairways are forgiving and wide open. Be back again…

Played mather two time once in winter and once in summer and both we’ll time the course was in great shape! Love the big fairways to hit bombs.
I enjoyed the course
I enjoyed the course I was using GolfNow and it brought up a halfway decent deal on Mather golf course since I’m visiting here in Sacramento I thought I would give it a try and it is a very forgiving course and I enjoyed by your very much
Pleasantly surprised
I hadn't play there in several years and was pleasantly surprised at the changes made and the excellent condition of the course. Fairway to green it was perfect.

Finished in about a little over 3 hours. Joined up with 3 other players. Greens ate putting wonderfully.
C'mon - Update the distance markers
The value for the money is there. But some things should simply be there no matter how nice or how muni the course is. The sprinkler heads are not marked. The distance markers that do exist on the sides of fairways are so old that they can't be read. I mean all it takes is 3 round colored pieces of concrete at 100, 150 & 200 in the middle of the fairway to do the bare minimum. Of course many people use range finders but having the course marked (or replacing the largely useless/falling ones) is the least a course could do. Not expecting every sprinkler head to have a distance but it's really annoying the have to guess when you're not that familiar with the course.
Played our round in 3 1/2 hours. It was hot so the course was sparsely populated. The course was in good shape although a couple of greens had quite a few ball marks. This is a good open fairway course. Very enjoyable.
Beautiful golf course
It’s beautiful golf course, staff is cool .
Except there’s 3 stooges , always pushing people to move because they have to finish the course in 2 hours. There names are Ron , John and I think Juan . They should be remove from Mather golf course. So annoying 3 mens .
