High handicapper
Excellent shape for mid summer. Found more balls then I lost. Fun but tough for me.
Great course, bad location
My first time playing this course, and I really liked it. Despite the drought, the fairways were still green! Something which I seldom see anymore. The greens were also in good shape. The lay out of the course is interesting with many dog legs and elevation changes. Some forced carries over bush filled gorge areas. Definitely not a course for the beginner. Course also not for walkers, very long, and hilly. Lots of distance between the holes at times. I usually play from the blue tees, but I was relegated to the whites d/t the length. Stretched to something like 6900 yards from the blues. Value was great, especially playing twilight. My only complaint with the course is the location. It is a pain to drive that far to get there. If it was located closer to me, I would play it every weekend. Even so, it is still worth the drive every now and then.
Great Value
First time at this course. I really enjoyed it. It is in great condition, pace of play was good and the layout of each hole is beautiful.
My only complaint was the lack of food and beverage options. There is a restaurant on the premises, however there is no food/beverage options at the turn. There was a food cart Which lacked anything substantial, just candy bars and beer.
when playing through lunch or dinner time not having any food/beverage options at the turn is very dissapointing.
Great price! Great Course!
Staff was great! Course conditions were awesome considering the drought. Will play again.
Challenging and enjoyable
The course plays long and narrow, especially from the blue tees. Beautiful scenery and encounters with some deer made the round memorable, along with a par on a 630 yard par 5. It's well worth the drive to get there. I'll definitely go back.
Fantastic condition but no marker which hole being played
Fantastic golf condition. Greens are fairways are mowed fresh. The only was I have no idea which hole am playing because there are no "hole markers" while teeing from a tee area. I got lost somewhere in the middle of the roinds. I was teeing from a wrong tee box and ended up missing playing few holes and ended up in the back nine right away I missed holes 8 9 and 10. There are no directions or signs going to the next holes. Very confusing
Get what you pay for ??
The course is in great shape, the staff we had contact with in the Pro Shop and the Dining room were excellent along with the food. HOWEVER....
The pace of play was unacceptable!!!! We paid for 18 holes of golf and quite after 8 since we had been on the course for 4 hrs !!! The course was holding a mini-tour event of some sort and the players knew nothing of the rules ( Provisional was not in their vocabulary!) Also no Marshall or Rules person to help....It was so backed up because of this..We actually stopped playing had lunch and when we left drove by the group in front of us and behind us...they had progress 2 holes in 1.5 hours !!! TRULY disappointing...
Diablo
This course is always well kept and in good condition.
Very fun and competitive course!
Not a lot of peeps out there very quite in great shape
Course in great condition
Some hole have great challenges
Good experience - worth the drive
disappointed that the legends course is "no more" but enjoyed the Ranch Course. Got a great rate and enjoyed a good Sunday round. Much more challenging and interesting than other courses in the area charging a similar price at a muni.
Spectacular
The staff, the course, the value, incredible. Everyone does a tremendous job of making you feel welcome. The Golf Course is in great shape.
Great course to test your skills yet won't try your patience.
Next time you ask yourself, "Where should I play today?" Give Diablo Grande a try.
I can't wait to go back.
Best value around!
Given the drought conditions, the course was in beautiful shape. Interesting holes with lots of variety from each tee box. Highly recommended.
Rating of Excellent for value due to a "Hot Deal". Normal green fees are still a Good value.
Course was in great shape. Surprisingly few golfers for a Sunday. Very enjoyable experience. One suggestion (seconded by everyone I have ever talked to about the course) is that a sign should be erected on the 12th hole that discloses the yardage from each tee box to the edge of the fairway at the ravine. Since the tee shot is sort a blind shot to towards the ravine, a sign would make things a little more fair. Either that, or make the hole a par 6.
Nice Course in Great Shape
This was my first time at the course and the staff at the pro shop was super friendly. He happily took the time to give me the full run down of the layout of the facility. Course is great shape from tee to green. Greens were predictable both on speed and in reading the break.
Awesome course
Booked a screaming deal on golf now for the ranch course played the round in 3 hours and the greens were awesome as well as the rest of the course
Beautiful course in spring.
Was a first timer, but my friend had been here many times. We had a great day. I am a physically challenged golfer. Played the whites on most holes and the red/gold when it was too tough. Was told ahead of time to bring extra balls and now can see with good reason. Spent a beautiful day in a beautiful setting with my best friend, doesn't get much better. And a big shout out to Golf Now, two of us and a cart for 18 holes for $$50!!
Been a long \time
I played here about 15 years ago and it was a tough course back then, still tough from the blue tees. Course was in good shape, greens had been aerated a couple weeks before, no mowing or rolling had really been done yet so greens were hard to read and were not true. rough was thick as it should be if you miss fairway, one extra club to get out of it. tee boxes and fairways real nice. Pace of play 3 and 1/2 hours for 2 players. Unfortunately, not a walking course as there are no shortcuts between greens and tee boxes and quite a distance between them. Overall for the golf now deal it was worth it and more. Would definitely play again when greens are in shape.
excellent condition
Couldnt ask for a better day. Fairways , bunks, greens all in excellent condition. Free range. What more can you ask for. To bad im 1 hr away but its worth it when i play. If you havent played here before your in for a treat. Like always pro shop stuff always wonderful.
Locals not friendly
If it wasn't for this course being so far from my house I'd play there often. The Price per value of the golf now tee time was fantastic. This course was easily worth about 3 x's what I paid. But that was offset by the 3/4 of tank of gas it took to get there. The staff was super, they loaded my bag on a car,t they got me tee'd off on time even though I cut it pretty close by checking in 2 minutes before my time. The only down fall was the other players since none would play with me. there were several twosomes in front of me, including a twosome teeing up as I got to the first tee. At any course I would have been invited to join them, but here they just looked at me and tee'd off. Was it because I was the only person of color on this golf course? I'm not even black just a dark skinned Hawaiian. Anyway this attitude should not reflect on the course staff they were absolutely professional, friendly and courteous. In conclusion, I had a wonderful time. PEACE OUT!
