Weather was perfect, hills were beautiful, golf was frustrating but so much more fun than working. This is a great course. The greens were immaculate and very challenging. Having range balls stacked and ready for warmup is always appreciated, as well as the ice chest full of ice ready and waiting on the golf carts. Staff was welcoming and very personable. Will return often.

The course looks and plays great. Water still in lake and ponds.

The course is a bit far but absolutely worth the drive especially gas prices are low these days. The green fee included practice range which I didn't know about when I booked the tee time. Challenging 18 holes included a couple of holes with elevation changes and a couple where water comes into play. I played as a single and all groups ahead let me played through so I finished in under 3hours. Will come back.

There are courses within a few minutes of where I live that I won't bother with, but I'll gladly drive the 70+ miles to get to Diablo Grande, and have done so many times.

Sadly, I was never able to play the Legends course before they shut it down due to the long-running drought in California, so all of my rounds have been on the Ranch course. It's always been easy to get a tee time, and even without the discounts you can find on-line I think it's an excellent value. The course has a nice variety to its holes and is well laid-out. The greens have always been in excellent condition every time I've played. The back 9 has always been more of a challenge for me that the front 9 for some reason, but that's not a criticism. What's really important to enjoying your round is to leave your ego in the bag and play from the proper tees. Unless you are a solid single-digit handicap, and on the low end of that, frankly, there is no way you should play any further back than the white tees. I'm a 6 and I find the blues a challenge, especially on the back 9.

What really sets it apart from a lot of other courses, though, is the excellent staff and their level of customer service. They come across as sincerely happy to see you, and do a great job of taking care of the customers.

Quick round, 3.5 hours, course relatively quiet due to NFL games. Thick rough, greens running nice and fast, yet receptive.

It has been about 5 years since I played the Ranch Course and it is so much better than I remembered it. The fairway and greens were in terrific shape and we had a great time. I will be going back soon!

Had a great time. Course was in spectacular shape given it is the dead of winter. Be smart when playing Mustang (12).

Despite the heavy storms the previous week, the course drained relatively well, but still unfortunately resulted in cart path only golf. The course is demanding and well worth the long drive to play.

The course is in excellent shape. The greens rolled very true and were pretty quick. Would go back again worth the drive and price.

Congratulations to the ground keepers.The fairways have been improved 90% from what they used to be in July.of 2014.
I would suggest that golfers on carts adhere to the rules by using common sense on the fairways. The new grass is being torn due to excessive use by the carts on wet ground and driving the carts close to the green area. Supervision is needed to stop the abuse.
The staff is friendly in the pro shop as well as in the restaurant. Food is great for the price.

Both the staff and the course was excellent I would recommend this Golf course to all my friends

Great day. Great time. A little over 4 hrs to play. Greens were hard and fast. Course was in good condition except for some bunkers. Spoke with head pro and this problem is already in the budget to fix.

They are working to get it to a top notch course again. Much better than when I played in the middle of summer. That could just because it was not 100 degrees. Very enjoyable course except for the Par 5, 583 yards from the Whites. That is a "Par 6" for your average hacker like me. Great day and a great course this time of year.

Great course, greens were fast and alittle windy but great conditions

Ok yes we needed the rain. The hard rolls of summer disapeared overnight and every hit came up soft. The putting greens were soft and fast in spots. We went out at the tail end of a 4-man best ball tourney and boy was it slow until they left after 9 holes. Overall we had an enjoyable time. I did sink an impressive 20ft downhill put on number 2.

Great place to tee it up. After a hot/dry summer I wasn't expecting the Ranch to be in such good shape.
Looking forward to winter golf at D.G., above the valley fog!

I played this course for my 1st time this week. I am new to California and have been playing about a dozen different courses since I moved here. This is by far the best I have played. This course has the most gorgeous green fairways, beautiful greens and just a wonderful facility. I would recommend that if you have not played this course to do so. And if you have played this course before, you should know what I mean.
