About
The Golf Club at Rio Vista is situated at the heart of northern California. With a scenic spot near the Sacramento River Delta, the course is even named after its scenic river view. The river delta meets rolling hills on this tough providing a unique setting equipped with distinctive water features. The skillfully crafted water holes are the trademarks of the design. The design mimics the natural lines carved by the river delta. The fairways are wide open but lengthy and generous greens can also be quite challenging as well. Rio Vista is a golf course that has appeal for players of all skill levels from novices to pros, whether it's the scenery or the diverse layout. Be careful on windy days though, the open course can be especially brutal.

120% improvement.
Perfect weather in the mid-70’s with little breeze made the game to be the most enjoyable in a long time while. The management made a great improvement in years. They showed their willingness to do good business now.
Tee boxes have new color markers and cleaner than before.
Fairways have been worked on and they are almost to the pre-COVID-19 era. Need yard markers still.
Bunkers. They made the greatest improvements here 200%. Almost enough sand to make it playable.
Ponds still stinking some but endurable.
Greens. This is where they still need to improve. Must have punched recently which is okay but there are still few places where they need to do some patchwork. Greens are not fast enough due to sanding and punching.
Our cart died at 17th green but we managed to pull it out and maneuvered to finish the round.
Pro shop has enough merchandise and the new staff members were super friendly and courteous with professional attitude. We didn’t miss the old grumpy staff member who were quite bossy and annoying.
We will definitely play more here and even bring some friends.
Kudos to the managers and the maintenance staff for your good work. Please keep it up.
Course conditions are improving!
Management is working on getting the course ready for the summer.
Great food.
No driving range. Rough needs to be mowed a little shorter. Really playable. Good golfers can go low here. Food in the bar is excellent.
Underrated course!
Booked a tee time for 1:40pm on a hot deal for $20 ! Was one of the best courses I’ve played at. Tee boxes were nice, fairways were green, the greens were unfortunately punched but didnt have a hard time with it. 10/10 would recommend!
Rio Vista
Nice course, very impressed with the overall value. Greens were tight and trim. Great layout, a hidden gem.
The Tee boxes were good, the fairways were good just a little wet because it rained the day before, the bunkers were well groomed, and the greens were in perfect condition. I will play here again.
Rio vista golf
It was a beautiful day for golf, pace of play was good. Wind is an issue if you play late in the afternoon. It is always nice to play here.
Course is really looking great
Cart path only on two holes. This course is now in better condition than before. It’s getting to be better than a year ago!
Fun track
Played this course for only the second time. Played it in October of 2021 and it was a mess so was worried it wouldn’t have improved since but I was wrong. It’s in a lot better shape and for a Saturday round with a cart, it’s a pretty good deal. Fun track that goes through a nice neighborhood. Greens were in good shape, fairways a bit muddy but should shape up nicely for the spring.
Worth to play again
General speaking, the fairways of the course are much better than before. I would recommend this course to my friends.

Nice Layout
Good greens sand traps were good but some bunker's were very bad fairways were a disaster even the par 3's good layout lots of water would like to play it again this summer hopefully the fairways will improved by thenNice
Needs TLC
This course could be a great course if properly brought back to it's former state. Fairways are in desperate need of maintenance and repair. The sand traps have been upgraded but T boxes and fairways have been neglected for a long time.
Greens were decent.
The rest of the course is a sick joke. Tee boxes are a joke. Fairways are a joke. There’s more goose poop than grass on this course.
