Rio Vista Golf Club

Course has gotten better since the last time we played it. Definitely coming back!

We've played this course when it was in better condition. The whole course was in mud and very dry in other parts. Not good to play golf on! 7/24/22.

Looks like they were under construction on a number of holes. Pace of play was great, staff could not be friendlier. Basically a value course, very, very windy but fun. Don’t expect a great course condition.

As the title says, they are in the middle of a 5 year restoration, told to me by Henry in the clubhouse. Irrigation and reseeding are being done on almost every hole. Greens are in great shape. It's not in the best shape but you're playing golf. Pace was outstanding because when I went, it was the afternoon and there was nobody there. Finished a round in just under 3 hours was kinda delightful.

The course is trying to make improvements, but the overall course conditions are not good. Very little green, except on the tees and greens. The fairways are splotchy, with more bare than not bare.

Immediately to the left of right of dead center is awful.

The layout is fantastic and hope they can turn the conditions around, as it is a nice course when the conditions are better.

A lot of work is being done with the course. Slowly getting there!

Seriously, just water that place and it'll be nice again. Not worth the money. Maybe worth 25 a round. I literally sank in a crack in the fairway. Tee boxes and greens were decent. Used to be a hidden gem but now it's just gone down in quality.

You could hit a great drive and you’d be in dirt in the middle of the fairways will not return

Greens are very good. Tee boxes fair and fairways are poor. Some bunkers are good. Most are poor.

I suspect whoever saying that they are making improvements are not honest. I saw that they worked on the bunkers 2 years ago but now they’re getting bad again because the sand is so shallow. There are even some water spots in the bunkers. Greens are in good design but many of them are damaged. It’s not worth even trying to tee off. It’s really a shame that this beautifully designed course is being treated the way it is. HOA should try to find someone who can really revitalize and rebuild this beautiful course, instead of just hanging on to it with false hope for some miracle. They should try to find someone with some capital for a major work on the course. Otherwise, it will not survive this way. Players will have not much interest nor sympathy how they are struggling. There are plenty of better courses not that far from the Rio Vista course. Further, players don’t mind driving few extra miles if they can play at a good golf course. I do it always.

Over the past two years I have seen this course make a comeback. They have put a lot of work and money into what was a very miss managed course. The bunkers have been redone and most of the fairways are in good shape. No water in the ball washers the day i played.

Very friendly and Helpful staff. Good practice green. Unfortunately no range. Clean and nice club house and bathrooms. Nice bar. Didn’t eat here this time, but food on menu looked good. Loved the course layout, easy to follow paths and yardage markers.. Several tee boxes to choose from. Nice greens and tee boxes. Bunkers were mostly in good condition. Several fairway bunkers were overgrown and under repair. Fairways and rough in rough condition.

This used to be one of the best courses in solano County. I stopped playing five years ago because the course was in such bad condition. I thought I’ll give it a try by playin after five years. The course looks even worse. The fairways are terrible and shows over grown weed and patchy. I will not play this course again ever. Sorry

Greens keeper is letting the place slip a bit. Played 2 weeks ago and it looked much better. Tee boxes were a bit more shabby this time. Starting to get a few weeds in the expensive and full sand traps. The greens were a bit unpredictable (some were very slow but others were medium ?). Membership has to keep on top of the maintenance staff so they don't let all the good work go to waste. Before, my buddies and I were a sure return - now it may be a wait and see thing. Great layout though and the staff is very freindly.

Always a good time playing this course. Constantly improving!
