About
The Golf Club at Rio Vista is situated at the heart of northern California. With a scenic spot near the Sacramento River Delta, the course is even named after its scenic river view. The river delta meets rolling hills on this tough providing a unique setting equipped with distinctive water features. The skillfully crafted water holes are the trademarks of the design. The design mimics the natural lines carved by the river delta. The fairways are wide open but lengthy and generous greens can also be quite challenging as well. Rio Vista is a golf course that has appeal for players of all skill levels from novices to pros, whether it's the scenery or the diverse layout. Be careful on windy days though, the open course can be especially brutal.

Great place to play anytime
Love the layout and value of this course! My two negative for this course is the inconsistent bunkers on the course. Ether they are filled with water or the sand depth is really different in each trap. Also the greens could be in even better condition if players fixed their divots on the greens. Just pure laziness!
No Complaints, looks great. I played there because it was a good value for a weekend tee time.
I live in Brentwood and this course is very similiar to the Brentwood Golf Course. Howevere, there are some subtle differences that make this course equally challenging. I had a good time, staff was super friendly.
Pick your days
When the wind is blowing it can add a lot of strocks. So try to pick your day carefuly. No wind love it, wind tough.

It seemed like the course needed more water. There were some bare spots. The greens had two different types of grasses growing on them which made for some inconsistent roll. Some of the sand traps were in good shape and some were wet or hard. The pace of play for the first nine was very slow: 2 1/2 hours. Fortunately, we were allowed to play ahead of a group on #10 and then we sailed through the last nine: 1 1/2 hours. I recommend this course only because we paid a very low rate through Golfnow.
