About
The Golf Club at Rio Vista is situated at the heart of northern California. With a scenic spot near the Sacramento River Delta, the course is even named after its scenic river view. The river delta meets rolling hills on this tough providing a unique setting equipped with distinctive water features. The skillfully crafted water holes are the trademarks of the design. The design mimics the natural lines carved by the river delta. The fairways are wide open but lengthy and generous greens can also be quite challenging as well. Rio Vista is a golf course that has appeal for players of all skill levels from novices to pros, whether it's the scenery or the diverse layout. Be careful on windy days though, the open course can be especially brutal.

Nice course layout
Enjoyed our round .. 1st 9 holes were under repair and we're challenging. The 2nd 9 were in much better shape and very pleasant. Lots of lovely water features and wildlife., but of course goose poop is a problem. Loved the newly remodeled clubhouse. Very nice. Look forward to playing the back nine again soon. 😊
Rio Vista in good shape
The course is back and is in great shape. The staff is great and pace of play is good. Few more improvements to make but over all the course is in great shape.
Tee boxes and bunkers
Still a lot of work needed on the fairways, tee boxes and bunkers. Fun course if these things are improved.
Fun course with plenty of Hazards :-) I would definitely play it again although it does some loving care in certain areas.
Pace of play
I paid for 18 but played only 7 holes…3 foursomes in front of me and it took 2 hours to play. It was horrible, I will not go there ever again.
Poor conditions
This course is not well kept up.. not sure why the course was so wet. It was like playing in winter after a few storms came through. Roped off areas everywhere.
Improvements on going
The potential is there but still away to go. Has improved from 3-4 years ago.
Ragedy
Wasted my money and afternoon. Save your money you won't be satisfied.
An OK experience
As expected, the course is turning browner by the day. There must still be issues with sprinkler coverage. After the winter rains, the course is lush and green. But then when summer hits, the course makes a transformation to browns and greens. The traps are being redone again. The greens are always in good shape and are the best part of the course. Hope this helps. To sum it up, it is a great course for working on your game.
