Mission/Friars at Riverwalk Golf Club

Short and sour. We gave up waiting on tee 13. After the first five holes we were backed up waiting to tee off I would say 8 to 12 minutes on every hole. With a cool breeze it just wasn't pleasant. My personal opinion is they also scheduled a tournament involving 3 High Schools. It seemed like a zoo... Sure didn't get my monies worth. I went in and let them know how I felt. This course would be worth the $100.49 for 18 holes (walking) on a Friday if it had better fairway conditions. I’m sure the grounds crews work hard on this course but the fairways have been muddy, straight up dirt, or plugged with the remnants just sitting on the grass. Not worth the money until the fairways improve.

Officially my last round of golf here. They raised the prices again $130+ right after aerating all the greens. Played 4 holes in 1.5 hours (that’s 6.5 hour pace) and walked off for probably the tenth time due to pace which they never do anything about.

Greens are recovering and not it good shape which is fair but don’t charge more?? Fairways are dry dirt, tee boxes aren’t mowed, and generally in terrible shape.

There are about 7 other courses in a 20 mile radius that are cheaper, better shape, and more fun. I don’t write reviews but I’ve been playing here for two years and I can’t f stand the place.

Course was 5 stars on a beautiful SD cloudy day all day. i was a single and was paired up with three strangers. By the end of the round you would have thought we had played together before. My best enjoyable of round of golf in years. Thanks Sincerely to Riverfront for the perfect set up and Thanks to RJ. John and Glen. Hope to run into you guys again. And last a Big Happy Bday to John turning 40 today..

is it worth paying premium prices for a course that isn’t in premium condition? no. is it worth paying premium prices for a 5 hour round? absolutely not. take your money elsewhere this place stinks

Golf course in great condition and enjoyed the challenges it presented. Will definitely come back.

The cashier guy was busy on a call.

The starter was nowhere to be found.

Where the heck are the workers that they are not doing their jobs?

The golfing experience is more than just the round. We need you guys to be there on your posts, available, knowledgeable, supplied and ready. We are the paying guests.

I played here about two years ago. Stopped going because the course was in terrible shape. Now they jacked the price way up so I thought maybe they put some work into the course. Played here a couple weeks ago and it is the exact same. An absolute rip off. Customer service is even worse. I will never play here again... even if it was 50 bucks.

I left after 14 green. Play was painfully slow. No Marshall on course.

Booked early morning tee time on an app. As I was visiting from out of town and had meetings booked for most of the day.

The tee time was before sunrise. A bit too early actually. Sunrise was 6:42 . By about 6:25 it was possible to see well enough to play. The course is beautiful in the early morning.

Conditions were quite good. Many continuing efforts at repair and maintenance on fairways during off season.

Great greens but fairways have tons of work needed and muddy spots.

Lots of trash that can easily be picked up!

Many tee boxes are not even trimmed. This was terrible to me!

The guy in restaurant needs simple retraining in just being nice! Not sarcastic.

Staff is rude , guys at the front counter have terrible customer service , course is in bad shape very poor greens and fairways are blocked off , won’t play here again , food was mediocre , it’s at maximum a 70$ round during prime time , carts are basic for the price they charge , cottonwood , Sycuan are much better courses for less money … in the end the staff at this course is terrible the owner definitely needs to invest in customer service training , not 1 single person from proshop , starter , restaurant or bar was friendly … only the maintenance guy was friendly saying Buenos Dias at the turn … save your money go somewhere else

Overall great value, carts don’t have speakers but that was my only con.

The most average golf course ever, not better than mission trails, or enagic. The hot deal was $40 five months ago and they haven’t done anything new. I’m never playing here again for the price. Absolute crooks with those increases.
