The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

Great course
The greens are very fast here and there are two that are just plain unfair. The 1st and 11th greens are sloped so severely from center to front if you land on the front half of the green your ball will not stay on. As for everything else the course is in great shape and is just challenging enough to keep you coming back for more. The furthest tees you are allowed to play are blacks so it is a fairly short course for longer hitters
This is a really beautiful course
Soboba is a really great course. It is in the greatest of condition with lush fairways and carpet like greens. The staff are all very friendly and the facilities are clean and modern. The food is excellent as is the food/ drink cart.
Great except for the wind
First nine great weather, then wind came up. We love the course and would return many times, but on a weekday, so the pace of play is better.
Very nice
I had not played this course in about 10 yrs. The course remodel is perfect. The bunkers are many but very fair as they have real sand in them. The fairways are cut perfectly and the rough is not too rough on the errant shot.
Out of town gem
We looked up this course on the internet when we came to the Inland Empire in California for a visit. It was a delightful surprise.
The employees were very friendly and accommodating and the course was in great shape!
A beautiful and fun course to play in a great setting!
Greens were in good shape and the facility was clean and inviting.
Greens are true and in excellent shape. Fairways are lush. All in all, this golf course is very well groomed.
This course is so well groomed. It a pleasure to play their.
Fun Course
Our group from B.C. Canada thoroughly enjoyed the day out at Soboba with a nice dinner in the dining room afterward just made our day complete.
Great golf
Always a good time playing golf at soboba. The course is challenging but fair. Plenty of opportunities to score. The greens roll true and play quick. A couple greens are sloped back to front and will penalize shots played too long. Well maintained and always in good shape make this a favorite spot golfing in the valley.
Impeccable course
This course is definitely one of the nicer SoCal tracks I've played via Golfnow. It's on an Indian reservation and they put a lot of money into it. Flawless bunkers, lush fairways, and perfect greens - which would not hold much because of their speed. I highly recommend this course and am almost embarrassed that I played so cheap.
Nice day at Soboba
I had another fun day at Soboba yesterday. I really enjoy this course. I recommend that you get there early for a great breakfast before your round. The staff there is very friendly, and they seem genuinely concerned that you have a good time. Yesterday was the only time that I've been there that the pace of play was a little slow, but nothing terrible considering it was a beautiful day and lots of folks wanted to take advantage of it. The course was in good shape, greens quick, and bunkers were playable as well. My wife and I are weekend hackers that get treated like pros when we come out. Enjoyable course.
soboba
i would play this course again and the food is excellent in the restaurant
Nice surprise!
Along the foothills of the San Jacinto Mtn. range S.E. of Hemet, CA I was pleasantly surprised by this gem!
Tee to Green the course was in really good shape and pretty lush most everywhere. The GREENS were very tough, slick, fast and pretty consistent! They held most every shot I hit into them (even 190 yd. 4 irons) NOT A STRAIGHT PUT TO BE HAD THOUGH! I HIT 11 GREENS and had zero birdies! Fun, interesting, very pretty layout! Lots of water and sand too! Only negative was tens of thousands of birds and lots of bird droppings! I'm going back soon so I can do better on the greens!
GREAT COURSE
Great course for the money. Greens in beautiful condition, fast but true.
Excellant course but not behind wannabe pros
Great course but we had the Nation wide guys playing practice round and boy were they slowwww.
The coots could leave less calling cards all over the place.
Very nice Course
Excellent value for money. Course was in great condition and has a nice layout. Good food and excellent prices.
great bunkers and fast greens
This course was worth the hour drive to get to. It was along the lines of a Goose Creek or Empire Lakes in style. The greens were very fast. If you find yourself in a bunker don't worry as they are filled with some of the best sand in the I.E. I don't see how courses like Eagle Glen or Hidden Valley get away with hard pan traps at the prices they charge. Anyways, the course has it's challenges with tight fairways but if you hit them you will be rewarded with nice grass instead of hard pan or dormant grass. The only con was the bird or duck dung. It is everywhere. Also, the food in the club house very good and priced well.
challange to both beginer and advanced player
Great layout. well manicured and in good condition. Enjoyable day was was had by all.
Great layout with variety and lots of well placed traps
Really enjoyed playing this course for the first time. Course was in good condition. The greens were super fast so you did not want to have a side hill or downhill putt. Shot a 78 with 5 three putts.
I would have rated the course excellent if they had better control of the coots (bird that should be made extinct on golf courses). Hopefully they will make a better attempt to manage this condition that is damaging the course.
Great course conditions
Great course, challenging but fair for the price. Play in the morning, the pace of play is the best then.
Foul smelling
Too many coots and ducks on water holes. Fairways and Greens covered in feces. Foul smelling and stench from stagnant water.
