Sugarloaf
To start, due to traffic, my wife and I were late for our round, but Patty ( resident Pro) worked us in which was surprising as the course was very busy due to the beautiful weather. Once on the course it was very obvious that the course condition had improved considerably since last we played this course, about 6 weeks ago. Fairways mowed short and no more clumpy grass. Roughs were mowed but unforgivingly long. The greens well trimmed, but a bit more firm than I like. Tee boxes neat and trimmed. Only thing that was really bad are the sand traps, all are like cement and need new sand, but all in all a most enjoyable day indeed and we will be back in a week or so.
Great Day Golfing
It was the perfect course to bring my wet pregnant girlfriend with me to drive the cart around and be my caddy. She thought the course was beautiful and she was glad to be there to see how pretty of an area the course isin
Any shortcomings, And there are very few, Are offset by the friendliness of the staff under new management. I use to play it about 5 times a year I've already played it 4 times this month.
Sugar loaf always fun to play
Course a little saturated but not bad, followed a group of walkers was a little slow, staff always friendly.
Oakmont East January 2021
The course is in fairly good condition considering it is January. The par 3's are quite challenging. The par 4's are fairly easy. The greens need some work.
Sugar loaf always fun to play
Very nice round, perfect weather, very nice staff.
Better than expected
quite good greens and fairways. crowded but still moved along.
Had to wait in a line to get a cart. It would have been better if they mowed the fairways. Lost balls in fairways because grass was so long.
Oakmont east
The course was in decent shape overall, but some of the tee boxes were pretty poor.
Beautiful Course
Love this course beautiful day and fun 3-4 par holes East course is an easy course for beginner- intermediate golfers and still a challenge for better golfers. Grass is too long in the rough so easy to lose a ball but green and gorgeous down the middle of the course.
Lots of deer running around on course. Deep ruff and we lost several balls in the fairways.
Sugar loaf
The course was obviously stressed by local wild fires. However the course itself shows lots of rough spots that indicate lack of maintenance. To bad .
I couldn't play cause the of the smoke and because I bought through Golf Now I couldn't cancel.
Sugar loaf disappointing as course in poor condition
Normally Sugarloaf is fun to play but all the fairways are way overgrown, we lost many golf balls in the fairways, staff very friendly.
What fairways?
The first five holes had 4-5 inch grass in the fairways, and large clumps of grass trimmings from the last time they mowed, which must have been more than a week ago. Take lots of balls!
