Sugar loaf always fun to play
Every thing was excellent, pace of play perfect 2 1/2 hr round, course was in excellent condition, Staff are always a 5 star rating, great value for money.
LOVE THE SUGAR!
I love Sugarloaf.I’m a new golfer and I find it beautiful and just the challenge I need. The front office is amazing and flexible, with great input.
Sugar loaf always fun to play
A littles slow but we jumped a hole, Staff very nice, very reasonable.
Great Bang For Your Buck
I’m a new golfer and have been trying to “learn by doing.” This course is one of the easiest ones I’ve played in the Bay Area. There are no 5 pars and I was able to par 3 of the 4 pars. I definitely will be coming back here regularly. The layout and surroundings are beautiful. A lot of wild life on the course - ducks; geese; deer, rabbits, all added a nice ambiance to the round. The course and greens were in very good shape.

Fun round excellent pace, great conditions, Staff always friendly
Oakmont small April 2021
The course was is very good condition. The pace of play was slower than I expected or dealt with in the past.
Good local executive course
A lot of executive courses are so short that you only need a few clubs but this one has some longer holes that demand some larger clubs unless you are a long hitter. The rough is mowed a little longer on this course than on the Valley of the Moon course that makes landing you ball in the fairway more impostant.
Sugarloaf
To start, due to traffic, my wife and I were late for our round, but Patty ( resident Pro) worked us in which was surprising as the course was very busy due to the beautiful weather. Once on the course it was very obvious that the course condition had improved considerably since last we played this course, about 6 weeks ago. Fairways mowed short and no more clumpy grass. Roughs were mowed but unforgivingly long. The greens well trimmed, but a bit more firm than I like. Tee boxes neat and trimmed. Only thing that was really bad are the sand traps, all are like cement and need new sand, but all in all a most enjoyable day indeed and we will be back in a week or so.
Great Day Golfing
It was the perfect course to bring my wet pregnant girlfriend with me to drive the cart around and be my caddy. She thought the course was beautiful and she was glad to be there to see how pretty of an area the course isin
Any shortcomings, And there are very few, Are offset by the friendliness of the staff under new management. I use to play it about 5 times a year I've already played it 4 times this month.
