Bonaventure Country Club - West Course

I've golfed nearly every course in South Florida and this is easily the worst one, price considered as well.

The conditions are mediocre at best and that’s being generous, the fairways are more weedways than grass same goes for the tee boxes that are in abysmal shape. The course doesn’t drain well and they don’t maintain the rough at all it’s more like Fl swamp land.

The greens (which aren’t blocked off) are diseased, dry and bumpy. No skill needed to putt just luck as the line is never true.

This place used to be a decent course but current management has let this place become a cow pasture. They’re trying to make an attempt I put lipstick on a pig by doing a little bit of work but the reality of the situation is this course needs to be closed down for a full rehab. Otherwise their just prolonging this place becoming a new housing complex waiting to happen.

The layout of the course is very good. There is something for everyone. The greens require a lot of work for this course to be better

The course is beautiful but was in the middle of renovations and in rough shape with a few temporary greens. Will definitely play again when completed.

The course is in array, construction, temporary greens, bad fairways and greens; however, I paid less than $25 so for that it was worth it.

The course was in terrible shape. It’s not worth $35 right now. Maybe $10 or $15. At least pace of play was good, since no one is playing the course right now.

You shouldn’t come offer this course to people. Half the holes r unplayable

Before playing I had reviews about people being unhappy because the course wasn’t up to par. Yes the course is under construction. Many of the holes are being worked on. Greens are in bad shape but they are being worked on. Other than that it’s a beautiful course. Once the work is completed that will be a very nice course. I am new to golf so I didn’t mind. For an avid player come back when it’s completed

First 9 holes in 2 hrs & should have left, instead we finished back 9 in 3 hrs of slow agonizing pain of mystery players starting on # 10

Mgmnt should get better ranger or maybe cameras would help.

Very Sad on a significant course in time

This used to be a great course, not sure what happened. They are "improving the course" but Im not sure the improvements are going to do much. Pace of play was atrocious, groups of 5 where on the course and certain groups where holding up the pace by spending extensive time looking for balls and taking several tee shots. Ranger was notified multiple times about the issues and did not seem to care. Not worth the money, there are better options for that 50-75 dollar range. It's a shame, this course used to be a great local spot to play.

This course has great potential... but needs an abundance of work, in All areas. In my opinion, it should be closed for 4 to 6 months to ensure the proper maintenance is done. From the tee boxes, down the fairways and right to the greens, it all needs major TLC.

On a brighter note, the staff were lovely!

This would be a very enjoyable course in the future.

The course is being improved, just wish I had known, so we could have gone else where.

Will return sometime in the future.
