Bonaventure Country Club - West Course

Very disappointed on the fairways and greens on this golf course. The fairways were completely dried up, and most of the greens were in very bad shape. It’s very unfortunate since the layout of this course is really nice.

Have played this course many times over the years. Loved playing #3 over the waterfalls. Much to my dismay, the waterfalls were turned off. The other recent reviews are correct, many greens are in disrepair. Weeds all around the greens. Fairways are brown, thin grass. Our cart broke on #1, had to walk back & get another. Too bad, the layout is fun & challenging. Please add some TLC to this once wonderful course.

This is a horrible course

Upon arriving at a course & there is absolutely no wait & lots of empty carts you might suspect something is not right. This occurred at peak morning time. It became obvious the locals are aware of the condition of this course. Less than half of the greens were in acceptable condition. The only positive was that we were able to complete our round in three hours. If you don't mind putting on very poor greens & only want to practice hitting driver ,irons, & practice chipping then you might like playing here.

Construction in the parking lot is a good sign the new owners will start putting money in this place. I was told the restaurant will reopen soon. Great course layout and years of neglect. Hopefully next year when I come back the grass will be green and the waterfalls working.

Layout is good but there are no greens at all and charging more than 10 bucks to play this course is robbery

greens are atrocious. Most of them are over 50% burnt and full of sand. You literally have to player shot on the unburnt part of the green to avoid all the holes and sand dunes that plague the greens. Me and my buddies all paid about 55 bucks to play here and we all feel like we were robbed. Listen to the other reviews and avoid this place unless you enjoy using your sand wedge on the green.

This course could be a really nice course to play. They let this course go and have not done any maintenance to it... the greens are horrible and the fairways are all dead.... the rough areas are green the fairways are all dead.... this course has possibly to be a really good couse but now I wouldn't go back.

It seams like it is regularly overbooked because there is a 30 minute wait to start no matter what the tee time is

There was no one to take bags at bag drop. Had to load our own bags. There was no one after round to take bags. Greens were poor, fairways fair, featured hole on three no water fall. This could be a great course. It is just not well taken care of.
