Bonaventure Country Club - West Course

Honestly very disappointed with the course I’ve played here for many years and finally after the owner decided to start making the course nicer it’s back to its terrible ways already. Greens look like a shooting range not sure how that’s even possible and most holes have massive dirt patches in the fairways. If you want to play a round and not care, drink, and play in the mud this is your spot.

This is a course with a great layout & we were excited earlier this year to see it in great shape again. Right now, that’s not the case. The fairways are in poor condition.

Didn't come across one green that wasn't in horrible shape. Not bad but horrible shape. Also not sure what's going on but the whole fairway on the front par 5 is dirt. Don't waste your money.

It's not a bad deal for the price. However, the course needs a lot of maintenance. There was no cart service, so we couldn’t buy anything. It began to rain after the first nine holes, so we couldn’t keep playing. We were given a rain check, so that was nice. I will continue playing Bonaventure. I wish the course were maintained better.

Shame the conditions are mostly poor. Many tee boxes have weeds, Even if you hit good drives to the fairways, most lies are on hard-pan dirt. Even rolling your ball over to some grass, you still have unforgiving thin lies. A few greens are really good but most are only ok with weeds or needing much repairs in places. Overall, the worst part are the fairways. Hard pan or thin unforgiving barely grass. We all agree: two 5-handicappers, one 17 handicapper, and one 25 handicapper.

This course sucks. The greens were in terrible shape. The Fairways were dry and dead. Pace of play extremely slow no starter or rangers around.

From the tee box to the green, deplorable conditions, this course is unplayable. It’s inexcusable for the money they are charging. I went to the “manager” to request a refund, he said that this was a perception thing…. Check the attached photos if was a perception thing….

First time playing here, new to golf so I have yet to visit a luxury course. This course is great and very hard to play in my opinion, but fun. Hazards are challenging but overall it was a great time. The Ranger/Starter did an awesome job, the pro shop staff was great.

Few cons - the water station at the cart pick-up/drop off area needs to be fixed, no ice, and the water did not come out cold, there’s no water stations anywhere on any hole, only in the few relief areas but these are very outdated water fountains. It was an extremely hot day so having accessible water would have been nice.

The cart parts throughout a few holes was rough, could use some work, but all in all the fairways and greens were in great conditions for the price.

Would definitely come back.

Very poor conditions in the fairways and the greens.

The course was okay, but we were paired with two guys who were loudly blasting rap music from their cart for four straight hours. It was obnoxious. Nobody on the course told them to turn it off

Course was subpar shape seems like they're working on it but for now not worth the regular fee.No water on any holes and got attacked by sprinklers on a couple holes
