More dirt allover the course(fairways and teeboxes) drought has definitely take its toll on Knollwood
Greens remain very nice though
Great Course
Pace was a little slow. Other that that course Kay out excellent. Interesting and fun holes to play
Been forsaken
Fair ways nonexistent. Green aren't bad.
No starter. No organization bathrooms gross
Don't bother hitting a fairway cause you'll still be on a dry patch of dirt .
2nd worst course in LA
This course was so poorly kept. Good for them for allowing twilight rate at 2pm because if you had to pay full rate you would be furious. This must be what Links at Victoria looked like 5 years ago. Do not play this course. Trash fairways, greens barely better. Just hit to the sides and let it bounce down rock hard everything. Better off from dust past greens to chip from than concrete fringe.
Neeed water!
It would be nice to hit a ball from the fairway on some grass. Tee box and greens were fine but every other shot whether middle of the fairway or not was on dirt or weeds.
Fun day
We live an hour away but was looking to play a new course to us. Since my gf is from the valley we decided to try this course out. First off a we figured out the negative reviews of this place are just from snooty people. We loved how challenging this course was with upper and lower elevations. Greens were very fast on some holes. We will be back to play this course earlier.
Fairways are all dirt
The fairways are pretty much all dirt. They need to get them in shape it’s really bad. The greens were in good shape and the pace of play was good too. I wouldn’t come back though unless they improve the fairways.
DON’TWASTE YOUR MONEY
The guy at the front couldn’t be bothered to put down his cell phone to answer my question but oh don’t really care. The course is my biggest complaint. They sent 3 groups out at one tee time so the course was extremely backed up. The group in front of us had never played golf before and there was no course marshal to move them along. Then there’s the course conditions. You were lucky to hit it into grass in the fairway. The fairways and comprised of dirt and roots , that’s it ! You hit a perfect shot and end up with a terrible lie. DO NOT PLAY HERE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Staff attitude
Yesterday’s staff was friendly but lately the staff attitude has been very unfriendly. They think they are doing us a favor that are allowing us to play. I have been playing this course for a long time. The course condition has also gone worse but due to water shortage. The cart fee has gone up and no discount for seniors.
Knollwood? More like knograss
This used to be a very fun course. It was challenging yet not overbearing. What happened?
Course conditions are terrible. You can be in the middle of the fairway and you are sure to find nothing but brown patches, dead grass, dirt, anything other than living fairway grass. Wow.
Many of the tea boxes had crabgrass. The only two bunkers I was in all day rock hard.
Greens were in good shape. Clearly they are still watering those.
My advice to people playing here would be bomb away. It doesn’t matter if you are in the fairway or off the fairway, because there is no grass either way. So take as much yardage off of the tea as you can get.
