Tougher than El Cariso
Vista Valencia is mostly made up of semi-difficult par 3’s and a few drivable par 4’s if you can hit it straight. Greens were a bit faster than average but in great condition. Pace of play was a tad slow today but is usually good. I would compare this course to a tougher El Cariso, for those familiar with that course. Would definitely recommend!
First time
Definitely wont be the last, course has a couple of Par-3 sub 200 holes but they are full of obstacles. Good stuff
Tee off is off
When I booked this round TEE OFF said the cart was included in price...WRONG...the course charged for the cart...get it right.
Staff was very unfriendly the grass needs to be cut very easy to lose your ball in the tall grass. Rate of play was very slow
Great For Working On Your Short Game
Course in okay shape. Tee boxes need work. Greens are pretty nice. Good speed of play. Good value for the money.
Not Worth It
Tee boxes are not great. Fairways are so-so. Greens were fairly decent, with the exception of goose crap on a couple. I’ve played this course many times over the years. Not worth paying anything over $25 (including cart). There are ten par-3 holes. It’s better just to play the small par-3 course at the cheaper price to work on short game.
Pace of play
Pace of play is so slow , course smells like crap in certain holes .
the fairway grass are tall, they should be mow, it is hard to find our balls around the green coz the grass are tall.
Nice course lay out, not friendly to beginners
I’ve played here many times and play is always slow, not a problem for me until this weekend. Invited my brother and girlfriend who are learning to play out for a round and tho we had to wait for the group ahead of us on every tee. We where the only group being harassed for slow play. That’s not how to encourage new players to golf imo.
Course was in good condition
The only problems we had with the course were the traps - sand was like cement; flooded and muddy in some areas.
Don’t Waste Your Time or Money
This used to be a great course, but it’s practically unplayable now. They’ve stopped cutting the rough to save money, so there are now huge patches of 8 inch rough all throughout the course. It’s nearly impossible to find your golf ball if you miss the fairway. The pace of play is beyond unbearable. They used to let you take a cart out for twilight when it cooled down, now you cannot take a cart after 5 PM so you have to walk, and they doubled the fee. The range balls are borderline unhittable, and they close the range whenever they feel like it. There are no set hours, so one day the ball machine is closed at 7 PM, another night they close it at 7:30 PM, no consistency. The receipt when you play says they stay open til 8:45, but they always kick people out around 8PM. They’ve increased the Players Club price while decreasing the services and amenities substantially. The course is in very poor condition, and so is Chica. The management and staff are normally poor and never have a good attitude or are interested in helping the customer. The ownership is just trying to squeeze every cent they can out of it by being cheap and taking advantage of the customer. They make it almost impossible to just have a decent golf experience or play a round without something ridiculous happening (rilude staff, dead cart, stuck behind a group of 5 or 6). This used to be a great place, now it’s a complete dump. I’ve seen land fills that look more like a golf course. DO NOT waste your time or money at this dumpster fire course. The ownership and staff don’t care about it, why should you. I’ve cancelled both player club memberships and will not be returning. An extremely poor product turned out by an even worse owner and management group. It’s a shame to see them ruin this place with incompetence. They are tripping over dollars to pick up pennies.
SNEAKY CHALLENGING
Executive course that is short but sneaky challenging. You probably won't need your driver on this course but don't mistake that into thinking that you need to be on your short game playing this track. Back nine has a bunch of par 3's that are sneaky...Love playing this course
Good value
Good value, course is short but challenging, fun to play
