SunRidge Canyon Golf Club

Sunridge Canyon is an absolutely gorgeous layout.

I always try to book a round here when I come to Scottsdale to golf.

The course was in great condition and the greens were running very true and at a fair speed. The day was completely booked, yet the ranger maintained a good pace of play. We only had to wait on one par three. Many very challenging holes demand distance and accuracy. Bring your A game.

It’s a good course but overpriced in my opinion. When paying north of $200 I expect premium everywhere. It’s nit picky, but 2/3 bunkers I was in had very little sand before compacted or very hard surface underneath making a standard bunker shot impossible. Super frustrating.

Other than that it was an enjoyable day. Very difficult course from any tee. Lots of target golf and strategy required. Blind tee shots where you can’t see the landing area. Greens were very quick compared to the standard courses around the valley.

Personally I won’t be back until the prices are reasonable, but it’s a good course.

If you’re looking for challenging golf on a well manicured great layout, Sunridge Canyon is for you. Last six holes, properly named “the wicked six“, are a challenge for the lowest of handicappers. (Especially from the tips!) You will not be disappointed, and I found the experience to be worth every penny. I will come back every time I visit Arizona .

Overall the course was in good condition. Some of the greens particularly on the front nine were rough and therefore inconsistent. The greens speed was good.

Good round today on a challenging track. Post over seeding so cart path only but still a decent pace. Somewhat pricey but everything in town is now!

One of the better courses in the Phoenix area.

Course was recently over seeded and was very soft. The lay out as always was great. But t the course was 100% cart part only. Which makes for a difficult day.

I truly love this course, but they just opened after two months of overseed work! I thought that being closed for TWO MONTHS of overseed work that the course would be in at least good playing condition! Sadly I was wrong!

The tee boxes were soggy and turf was only cut to a 2 in length. Burmuda rough was so deep you could not see the tops of your shoes. Fairways were so soggy that balls would plug. The grass on fairways were spotty(that was expected) so played lift, clean and place.

If this course would have charged $75 for the round, I could have said … ok, I get it, but my round was over $160!!!

I want to repeat! I really love this course! I just won’t play it for another two months and never just when they just re open!

Very disappointed to pay up and have the hairy tee boxes and very bumpy greens. Only some greens affected, but not good

When pain they never said that there is a $7 charge for reclaimed water fee.

Great golfing experience!! However, the starter was a little over the top!! He needs to not be so negative when people are teeing off on one of the most difficult courses in the valley!! His disparaging remarks about the group ahead of us was definitely unnecessary!! If he can’t be more positive he needs to work in a place where he is not interacting with customers!!
