Greenfield Lakes Golf Course
About
The executive length course at the Greenfield Lakes Golf Club is a shorter course but there are three sets of teeboxes for a variety of different options. There are also plenty of challenges to appeal to all players. The golf course's layout is mostly flat and relatively open and it features many difficult par 5s and also some dogleg fairways. Although there are no sand bunkers, four lakes create water hazards that come into play on half of the holes. A notably challenging hole is the par-5 18th, which has a lake protecting the green and also a double dogleg fairway. The course at the Greenfield Lakes Golf Club, with its nice scenery and great conditions, is an excellent place for golfers to work on their short game.

Fun course
The course was very dry and a lot of the fairways were dead and brown. It was a short course and due to the hot weather it took just the right amount of time to finish.
Great Bargain on Well-Maintained Course
I enjoy playing here. Although there are no sand bunkers there are some green-side grass bunkers. The greens are in great shape and can be tricky. I played 18 by myself with no one in sight. Tee off around 3 pm. I finished in just over 2 hours and shot 5 strokes under my handicap. Another plus is that this is a grass course... not desert.
Accommodating and Friendly
My dad and I have just got back into playing and were looking for a place that would be forgiving and enjoyable. We only wanted to play 9 holes and were pleased to be placed on the back 9 to allow us to play at our own pace. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating for what could have been a busy Sunday morning of play. The course is wide open and allowed us to just go out and play, and enjoy the morning. Looking forward to getting out there again and getting the swing back.
Great Par 62 course
I play here all the time as it's close for me and I can usually play the course in about 2 hours. The greens are in better shape than a lot of higher priced courses around. It's a great value course to polish up your short game
Easy. Fun. Timely.
Shorter course, great for a quick round. Open fairways and multiple very short par 3s make this course great for beginners. However a few well placed water hazards provide a slight challenge. This course will test your short game. I personally golfed my best round to date, so it gave me that 5 star feeling. Without water stands in Arizona, i can not give a 5 star rating. A water jug or drinking fountain, even if there is only 1 every 6 holes, throw a few out there and your patrons will thank you. The staff was SUPER friendly. I was short 50 cents to pay cash for a few candy bars and the beer cart lady was quick to cover the 50 cents herself! It was a HUGE gesture and i made sure to run in a few dollars for her once i made it to my car where i had more cash. She wasnt expecting anything and did not hesitate for a second to make the customer happy. For me it is at least a 10 mile drive to the course, one that i will be making more often for an experience like the one i had this day.
nice little course
Got out early and finished in 2 1/2/ hours. Nice layout. Got 9 pars. Enjoyed the round.
Short Game refresher
For beginner golfers or just to practice on your short game, this course will work. Be careful on greens as cups need work.
Terrible conditions
Sad to have to write the review.m, as I used to play this course often. The condition now is almost unplayable, not enough water, playing in dead grass. Other courses in the area charge similar price on GolfNow, and water much better. Likely will not okay here anymore.
Good starter round
Great warm up round to start the golf trip with especially for my wife she birdied 2 holes. There is enough variety to use every club in your bag. Considering we were playing in May the condition are pretty good. We played the course in less than 3 hours. Greens in great shape except for one of them. They are a little slower than I'm used to.
Enjoyable course, great shape, friendly staff.
This is a great course to refine your short game. The course was in fine shape, greens and fairways very well maintained. Some challenging greens give your putter a workout. Pace of play was fast...completed 18 in about 3 hrs. I will definitely spend more time at this course. The price, esp with "hot deals", was very reasonable.
Great course!
Course is awesome! Only feedback I have is to have water stations/igloos available.
Slow Pace of Play
Greenfield is a short course but fun to play as several holes have water to challenge your shot making skills.
The only problem I have with this course is the slow pace of play which I've encountered here consistently.
Seems there are always beginners playing here who don't know about letting faster players play through. We get stuck behind a group who are clueless that they have empty holes in front of them and there are players behind them waiting on every shot. The course marshal drives around in his cart but doesn't appear to do much to speed up the slow play. Two of the last three rounds here I've skipped a hole to get past one of these slow groups.
My wife and I are real duffers, and don't play very often. The ease of the course encouraged us to play more regularly. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Hello Gwen9613184,
Thank you for the comment, during the end of the summer season, around the last two weeks of September, all of the golf courses mow the grass down to a minimum to "burn it out" in preparation for over-seed. The winter grass gets put down and the course closes for two weeks usually around Oct.1, for growing the new grass and the cycle starts all over again. This is the cause of the dry conditions of the course.
