Kokopelli Golf Course

About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Is this round over yet?! Photo submitted by u000001335906 on 01/03/2015
Good winter rate
The greens were slow and inconsistent. Much of the rough was just dirt. Fairways were below average for this time of year.
Narrow but very nice
The course is in excellent shape. The course is narrow. If I could suggest the greens keeper let the rough along the water grow to slow balls from rolling in. The topography and short grass along on the water pulls balls in. Frustrating
Muddy, Wet and difficult
At first appearance we were excited to see the course, because we had seen the reviews about dirt fairways and mud. We didn't see any of that. At first. Very hilly and tricky greens, lots of water, in lakes and on the fairways. Not sure if they overwater or what, but the mud and wet soggy areas are not in just a few areas. Many folks drive their carts through the wet area and tear things up even more. This course has grass only on the fairways, everything else is dirt or mud. The greens need work, but were ok. Speed was mid range. Pace of play was ok, but the value isn't there. Be sure to take a lot of balls....and by the way, we are pretty good golfers. Played it once, won't play again unless they figure out the issues with water and the fairways. Just too many issues to enjoy the round. Plus, I have to sterilize all my golf balls because the course is covered in goose poop! If you play....its on you.
Lots of elevation change
I’m a beginner golfer and thought this course was quite the challenge! A lot of elevation changes throughout, and like any course, if you can play from the fairway you’ll be better off. I used almost every club in my bag, which was awesome! Plenty of driver and long iron opportunities!
I’ll definitely play here again!

More bare ground than grass. Traps have black water and zero sand. Golfers while in waiting for hole to clear hitting into truck lot on back nine.
Clearly this coarse should be sold to walmart or similar refuse staging area.
we just wish that people would fix there ball divots on the greens.
Slow but decent shape
Read several negative reviews for this course, but we found it to be in fairly good shape. A lot of people don’t repair ball marks on the greens so some of them were rough. Overall we would book again.
Christmas Eve Tee Time
Colton, clubhouse staffer got me situated in a congenial & professional manner. Paired with John from Wisconsin & Charles, a native Arizonan, we teed off at around 12:30 p.m. We had a blast for being strangers. Kimberly, the cart staffer, was a sweetheart, too. Course had some bare patches in the fairways & sand traps were pretty much hard pan. Greens were in terrific shape & layout was adventurous but fair. ‘Tis the season …

More bare ground and mud than grass. Huge portion of course has hard pan dirt.
Traps had black water and zero sand. Bored golfers waiting for Green to clear hitting into truck lot on back 9.
This could be a nice coarse but is beyond bad. Compare with any 3 star coarse. Is there a money problem there with conditions?
