Kokopelli Golf Course

I have no problem with the pace of play. It’s actually the opposite. A few of my friends and I played on Saturday at a very brief pace. Nobody in front, nobody behind… until hole 3. Then we see a group behind us — 2 men sharing a cart with their wives or girlfriends who weren’t even playing. The pace was normal once they caught up to us (we’d be leaving the green as soon as they stepped on the tee box). Not 3 holes later, the ranger drove up to our group saying to pick up our pace of play as people were waiting long times on tee boxes. We said sure. At that point we were teeing off on hole 7 and on pace to finish 9 hole in under 2 hours. Absolutely unacceptable by staff (or group behind who lied about pace) to mention that to our playing group. Finished 18 in under 4 hours and the group behind us even stopped playing after 9. Terrible golf experience always feeling like you’re holding up the groups behind you (which we were not doing, but were accused of). I will never play at this course again in my life.

Course is in better condition than the last time we played at this location. However, there are several fairways that have no grass. The surface in the affected areas was smooth mud or silt. Not great for hitting off.

On a second note, the golf carts are beat up and in need of replacement. The greens fee is higher than they should be for the current overall condition.

It has been 2 years since we played this course. Much has improved in regard to the overall experience. I would note that a challenge remains with the golf course. Several of the fairways still have dirt covered fairway spots. Hopefully, this will be cured before the heat and sun of the summer hits us.

Course layout was good, went on a very busy day and had to tee off 15 minutes late due to no available carts. Pace was decent for how busy they were, but a lot of hikes seem to be missing a lot of grass. Several fairways had a large amount of dirt patches which made some shots difficult to play. Greens were in fair condition and overall wasn't a bad round but I played at a hot deal price. Paying full price would have been disappointing in the current condition. I will try again later in the season.

Haven't played here in 2 years, was hoping to see some improvement, love the design, greens were good, please put some effort into this property.

The course itself was a little worn. However, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The only reason a bad rating was for a couple of locals in front of us. They were very unfriendly, disrespectful and had no clue about golf etiquette. Very disruptive to the game itself, but I can certainly not hold their actions against the course.

Just my wife and I golfing, but the pace was great, done in just over 3 hours. Had a noon tee time and the course wasn’t super busy. As far as the course goes, they were fixing up some of the tee boxes that were worn thin and there were spots on some of the fairways that were also thin and dry.

Didn’t affect us too much. Sand traps had some soft sand in them, a couple were of course dry but also not too bad. Greens were nice, consistent throughout.Course has a range and putting and chipping area.

Love the layout of this course. Our unusual hot spring is taking a toll on this course, like others in the valley. Still, it was worth the cost, and I was able to tee of early and the course was wide open, finished in 2 hours, forty-five minutes.

Extremely friendly staff. Great course to play for under $100 in the winter. Very fairly priced. Good mix of challenging holes with some fairly easier short par 4s. Will play again.
