The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

such potential!
nice layout and a challenging course, however in need of some TLC, seeing through that we had good fun and in good time, we'll look into it again on our next visit..
Course Condition
The course is not in great condition. The greens are fine but the fairways are marginal. It was worth $20 but I wouldn't pay much more than that.
Challenging greens. Fast with plenty of slope.
I always enjoy this course. The greens and fairways were in good shape. My only complaint with the course condition is the sand traps. The traps are terrible. Sand is inconsistent. Some traps have a little sand in them and other are rock hard. My group finished 18 holes in 4 hours and 15 minutes (and that included letting a group play through on number 13). It is a fun course to play and I have recommended it to many of my friends.
Nice course, sand traps not very maintained. Overall course is in decent shape.
Great Palmer Layout
Great practice area, course in good shape, a little rough around some of the fairways.
Greens nice but very slow the day I played, bunkers not very well groomed and the few I was in were short of sand.
Not saying this is in poor condition- just expected near excellent from other reviews and it being a Plamer design.
Course layout
Love the layout other than the disconnected drive to 10 tee and return from 18... The cart return needs to be located away from players coming from front side and the current return location.

New Favorite in the valley
I’ve been in Arizona for two years now and have played most of the courses in the valley. Legends has become a local favorite, it’s got a home course feel, excellent cheeseburgers in the snack bar, friendly staff and an extremely challenging golf course. It’s definitely on my to play again lists.
Always love playing this course. Well taken care of and I love the challenge. Great layout.
Fantastic golf course
I want to say that myself and my buddy golf this course often and it is one of the best tracks in the valley. I live on the east side of the valley and the drive is worth it. It is a track to test your skills from the back tees or a great course for the started with the forward tees. Greens are true and the staff is some of the best in the valley. I would highly recommend trying this track out and enjoying a great day of golf.
Thanks,
Rob R
Great layout
Great time, Brian and the staff were awesome! Enjoyed the experience. Nice layout(underrated), good value. Range seemed to be a big hit. You will be surprised by the Burgers very tasty! Bev Cart lady was also very nice. We will come back soon! Thank you.
Best Course in Glendale Arizona
The course is in great shape! Challenging but fair. Greens are in great shape. Customer service was awesome! Highly recommend this place! 5 stars!
The Legend @ Arrowhead Golf
We enjoyed our round of golf 5 stars ! The staff was excellent, the experience was very enjoyable. Nick from the pro shop checked us in quickly and very professionally. The Arnold Palmer layout was great and the greens rolled perfect. We finished in a nice pace. Thankfully, The ranger kept everyone going. Highly recommended! We will be back soon. Thank you!
I like the layout of the course. The greens were in nice shape. The pace of play was extremely slow. We had to wait at every Tee box on the back nine for the group in front of us to tee off! It took over 5 1/2 hours to play 18. Only saw the ranger on the 10th hole. The bunkers are basically hard dirt!
I have played this course before and haven't had these issues. Hopefully it will improve.
Suprised
I did not read the reviews until after booking round. Arrived 45 mins. early and proceeded to pro shop, the gentleman behind the counter was frowning when i entered so i asked if he was having a bad day. He just blew me off and stared at me. I asked him what the pace of play was, again just a stare. I told him my tee time and he said to go now not to wait for the other 3 players. OK sounds good! There in was the problem, just sending people out as they arrive created an extremely slow pace of play with a threesome in front and a twosome behind caused a 4 hour 45 minute round. The reviews were all the same and true. I will never play this course again! Sorry for the lengthy rant, but very disappointed.
