Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
About
The Wigwam Resort possesses three 18-hole courses, the Blue Course, the Red Course, and the Gold Course. All three courses were built on a rolling terrain with mature creeks sprinkled throughout and meandering creeks running through, which can all affect shots. The Blue Course is the shortest of the three courses but Blue plays long due to the elevated greens. The creeks create water hazards that come into play on several holes and there are also many strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course as well. The Wigwam Resort facility has various practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Course was quite forgiving
I liked the course fairways and rough were both over seeded, this is the first course I have played that had no signage what so ever.
The consierage was totally unfriendly did not offer to help with my clubs and was blunt to the point if being rude, I did not feel welcome by any of the staff including the pro shop or starter they were not helpful or friendly....I am quite sure they don’t need my business and was treated accordingly!
Superb course
The course was in excellent condition; greens, fairways, tee boxes and yup I checked out the sand traps too. I was a single teamed up with a lovely couple from Alaska. Had a fun round, a light lunch as the restaurant. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. A wonderful experience all around.
Great course
Played the Blue Course. Fairy short course at 5500 yards but fun to play. Deep bunkers with good sand. Several holes with water hazards. Small greens with lots of breaks. Very beautiful course.
Wigwam resort Blue Course
The shortest of the Wigwam courses that requires accuracy hitting onto elevated and small greens. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Overall the course wias in very good condition except for the tee boxes. Many appeared to have not been mowed for a while and many had bare spots where players would typically tee their ball. Thie condition of the tee boxes was disappointing considering the reputation of the Wig,wam as a world-class golf destination. I give the course 4 stars overall
Ripped off
Bought a hot deal with Golf Now.
At desk refused to accept paid GN voiucher.
Paid $ 172 online fee to keep my tee time.
GN trying to square away.
No response from Wigwam as of this review.
Wigwam Blue
The course was in good condition, but the greens are rock hard ! As a Michigander, playing this course for the first time, I was hoping for more. There wasn’t anything close to a “Wow” hole.
Not a great experience
I love the design, wide fairways and small elevated greens. However, the greens are like concrete and impossible to hold leading to many frustrating shots. One staffer told me the greens are as hard as he’s seen them. He said you have to hit short and roll the hall up. Not worth the green fees.
Nice course but TOUGH greens
Course is in good shape but some sand traps are short of sand. We played in 3:15 jours (treesom). You need to be very precise with your approchs, greens are small , ondulated and very fast . They are a good challenge for a normal player as me. For 68$, It was a good deal.
Blue Course - excellent experience for the money
Just finished playing the Blue Course at Wigwam GC. Course condition was excellent, greens were hard/fast but “true”. The greens fee was reasonable considering tee times (10:24am) and high rates at other venues. Highly recommended, and hope to return later this month. Lastly, appreciated having practice balls and GPS included upfront in the cost !!
Quite good.
We played short tees. Probably good for our game. At times it is difficult to guess where fairways go. Greens are small all slightly elevated. Greens were a little rough but consistent.
Overall we enjoyed the day and would go back.
Very Enjoyable
First time at Wigwam and played the Blue course. Fairways were perfect. Greens are difficult to say the least.
The starter was correct in telling us we wouldn't have trouble in the fairway but wait until you reach the greens.
Keep the ball in front of the flag and you have a chance. Great pace of play. Finished in less than 4 hours. We hope to return and try the Red course.
Good time
Blue Course was in great shape, golf shop staff was very friendly and helpful, the starter Jim was professional. The guys in outside services were great.
A country club environment
This is a nice course in a country club environment. Most of the courses I play are just a golf course so this was a step up. The course is one of three to choose from. Range balls are included in the golf fee.
The course was in good shape, fairways are wide open and run side by with each other, well marked for each hole, the greens are very fast and very undulating. Toughest part of the course would be the greens.
Blue
Enjoyed the day pace of play was great played in 4hours. Greens are challenging need to be on the right leavel . I recommend this complex of courses
Excellent course conditions
The Blue course was in excellent shape and pace of play was great! Only issue was so much sand! Bunkers in front of just about every hole and with the elevated greens its tough to chip up over tbe sand and still stay on. LOL.
