About
The Red Course (formerly known as Heritage Course) at the Wigwam Resort, which has received acclaim from Golf Magazine, is one of three 18-hole courses at the resort. Built on rolling terrain, the course features elevation changes that can affect shots. Mature trees are also scattered throughout to add beauty and another challenging element. Winding creeks form water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The Red Course is popular among locals familiar with the Wigwam Resort because it is considered to have the three best finishing holes in the area. Although walking is allowed on the other two courses, carts are required on the Red Course.

Nice course
I play all over the valley and usually play the Gold course at wigwam first time playing Red. Was a nice course good conditions not terribly difficult. But perfect for a variety of players.
Heads up would be nice
Played the red course many times before. Conditions were solid. Greens were in awesome shape, always well maintained. The issue is that we booked a 7am start, unaware they had a 7:30 shotgun as well. Played the first 4 holes, then hit a wall with a 5A & 5B group waiting to tee off. Took 2 1/2 to play the first 9. Left after 9. Would have been a 5 hour+ round. Nobody books a 7am tee time to play in 5+. To be fair, Wigwam is not the only course that does this. Please be honest with ur guests and tell them that a tournament is scheduled same day, we would have played elsewhere. Seems like u just wanted our $, didn't care about our experience. Too many good tracks in the west valley, think I'll take a break from the Wigwam after this experience.
Red again
Another great day on the red course. It was a great round.
Awkward
Awkward/fairly distant parking re pro shop. Other than 18th hole basically very straight forward/somewhat uninteresting holes. Greens seemed to have some hidden relatively minor breaks that impacted around some holes.

Pace of play
The course is in good shape. The starter came up to us on hole 7 and told us we needed to pick it up the pace. At that point we were at an hour and 10 minutes.That’s a fantastic pace I’m not going to be rushed. Because the senior citizens are out that day. Under 4 hours if a great pace anywhere.
Staff has a sense of humor; really appreciated.
