Wigwam Resort - Red Course

I like the Red course over the Gold course for playability reasons. The greens on the Red course are flatter and more accepting. The courses at Wiggy are always in great shape!

Booked a last minute 2:00pm tee time and finished all 18 by the time it got dark. Pace of play was good even though it was surprisingly busy, greens were really fast and good shape. Definitely a course I’d play again!

I had a great time during my first visit to the Red Course - probably the most pleasant golf experience in a while. The practice areas are nice, huge putting green, plenty of driving range spots. We were hitting off of mats on the range, though. Hopefully only until winter grass gets a bit more established? Staff was so friendly throughout the day, especially the ranger and check-in staff. I did get turned around getting to the first hole - could have used a bit more detail from the young man dolling out carts who just told me "go that way". Made it halfway through the Gold course before I was like there is just no way this is right and turned around. Fairways are the most lush I have seen on an AZ course in a while. I thought the greens were rolling pretty fast - accidentally blew past the hole on a few putts. It is a fairly simple layout with only a few bunkers and water hazards to punish you. The mature trees lining the fairways were the most encountered obstacles. I would absolutely play this course again!

70-year-old woman wasn't allowed to ride along with her husband or ride along with her son because they didn't allow it here at wigwam. It's weird not to allow people to enjoy a good day out with their family when they're still paying extra money to do so. The course was mediocre and best. The staff is rude and impatient. Landscaper is always in the way and I don't really understand the point of being rude to somebody who wants to ride along when every other course in Arizona lets you. So I guess we just won't play Yorkers and we'll play every other one

I’ve played this course many many times. But I’m likely done and will just play VERRADO from now on. The pace of play was the worst I’ve ever seen playing golf in my entire life. No joke. They seem to have lowered prices a little and overbooked. We waited 3-5 minutes on EVERY SINGLE HOLE. Every single tee we pulled up to, starting in the first tee, the other players in front of us hadn’t even teed off yet. The round was getting close to 5 hours and it got dark. Players behind us didn’t even get to finish.

Totally unacceptable.

The overseeding was excellent. The quality of the greens and Fairways are outstanding. Always a great day at wigwam

Enjoyed my round on this course from check in to the finish of the round. It did not disappoint

My son goes to college near by in Surprise, he has played the Red Course and loved it. So I booked it for us, it doesn't disappoint pace was amazing, greens where wonderfull, Can't wait to play the Gold Course.

If you are going to go with cart path only, then I wouldn’t expect the rough to be so dead. Getting threatened to be tossed off the course for driving through dead grass is ridiculous. Also, some yardage markers would be helpful considering the only way to know the yardage is the system on the cart that we can rarely use due to the cart path only rule. Course was dry and 90 degree rule seems to have been reasonable. Very disappointed.

It is a decent track. Maybe a bit over priced compared to similar courses in the valley.

Overseeding but a great course would like to play again under normal conditions

The course was is good shape. The greens were slow, maybe 7-8 but they were just over seeded.

The staff were friendly and professional.
