Las Sendas Golf Club
About
Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Las Sendas Golf Club's course, opened in 1995 and among the toughest U.S. courses. Two Zagat surveys have ranked it among the top 50 U.S. golf courses.
Las Sendas Golf Club offers a desert course demanding top play as it takes golfers through the Usery Mountains, with a vista of Phoenix as the tradeoff for managing rough land close to 1,800 feet above the desert. Jones didn't create a course with whimsical decorations like railroad ties, and he didn't build targets. The golf course is for those who strategize, mapping the way from tee to green.
After a round at Las Sendas Golf Club, head to Las Sendas Grille, for the full bar, including wines from California, Australia and Europe, as well as four tap beers and domestic and imported bottles.

Golfer Reviews
Beautiful Course, hard greens
This course is beautiful and an absolute pleasure to play. My only criticism would be that the greens were very hard. It was difficult to keep wedge shots (with good height) on the green. Aiming for the center of the greens typically resulted in the ball bouncing a couple of times and rolling to the fringe or off back side. Playing everything well short of the pin seemed to be the best approach. With the rest of the course being so pristine, it's easy to think the greens would be a touch softer.
That said, I still rate it 5 stars and would happily play it repeatedly. Highly recommend...just play to the font of the green.
Course is beautiful, well kept, scenic and difficult. Plays much longer than stated. Greens are difficult and speed was not consistent. Had difficulty with distance on blind shots determining distance to fairways.
Staff was great in all respects.
Great experience
Finally, had the opportunity to play this course - had heard many things about it over the years - good & bad.
The whole experience from driving into the parking lot to leaving at the end of the day was awesome
Great shape
The course was in immaculate shape. Pace of play was fast. With the exception of some locals hitting on us, I had an amazing time
Wonderful Course, but Challenging Greens
Cant say enough about the course and the the staff. All 100%. Would I play the course again, yes.
The only point I will say the pin placement and green speed make this course a challenge if you don't have a very strong short game. As long as you know this going in you will have a wonderful time at Las Sendas.
Course in nice condition, greens good speed estimate is 10 on stimp,, bunkers needed some work and we saw them adding sand in some the day we played. Some holes would be great to have a rock or pole indicate the line of play as there are some tricky shots from Tees. There was a double dog leg to the right that required driver, wedge ,wedge. Overall very good experience. After golf there is a nice patio attached to the pub restaurant that overlooked the ninth green that had a very nice vibe. We would return to play again
The course is gimmicky in spots .
If you are playing it for the first time there are al lot of blind tee shots and elevated greens that are difficult to play with green run offs that are impossible to see.
Best course of my trip.
I really enjoyed this course! From off the first tee it is in amazing shape. I had one of the first tee times of the day so it was great pace of play. Course is very challenging with bunkers put in very strategic areas. Greens are surrounded by bunkers. Bunkers are deep and big too so stay out of them if at all possible! Greens rolled great, little quicker which I like. If you are a single playing you will have to share a cart as they claim your booking is only good for a “half cart”. Great condition right now and amazing layout and views! Will definitely play this course again! Right now it’s well worth the money!
Beautiful Course!
In very good shape right now, played it the week they had the Asher Tour playing it and man it was in great shape. Cut down nicely, healthy green grass, greens good speed not too slow but not too fast.
Layout was fun, challenging! Will play it again when I’m back in town!
Great course
Beautiful designed course in excellent condition, Fairways and green in great
shape. Greens firm but fast.
