Las Sendas Golf Club

For summer play the course is in very good shape. The only downside to me was the sand in the bunkers. The greens were good and the fairways played well.

First time playing this course and it did not disappoint. Staff was extremely nice--front desk, starter, and beverage cart person. Course was in great shape for this time of the yr. Greens were perfect. We will definitely be playing this course again.

Although Las Sendas has always been a nice course to play, the course conditions are being decimated by the summer sun, from tee boxes to greens, which do not equate to the green fees to play, save your money.

Some dead spots near greens. Greens were 2 weeks after aeration but making a comeback - certainly a smooth surface. Tough track in general if you don’t keep the ball in play.

This is the worst I have ever seen this place. It is really going down.

Great well taken care of course, excellent views from atop, layout was great, price was good. Although it was very hot 110 degrees.

Even with it being the punched greens time of year, this course was great. Wonderful views, wildlife, and a great lay out of a golf course.

We have played the course several times and have always been very satisfied with it. Had some disappointment this time in that the greens just weren't nearly as nice as they used to be.

All the bunkers were wet, rocky sand - they need upgrade like Raven did. Greens still bumpy from punch last month. Need a few more weeks to recover.

I am not one who usually post reviews, however with people traveling because of the summer, Arizona is a known golf destination. I have lived in Arizona for 12 years, came from Northern California. I also am a golf member at another private golf course approximately 45 minutes away. The summer heat in Arizona is brutal not just for players but also the golf courses. Even though I am a golf member at another course, I still like to come to Las Sendas at least a couple times a month. Arizona has beautiful golf courses, but in my option, Las Sendas ranks right up there with one everyone needs to play. I was there just a few days ago, the course actually looks so much better than the private PGA golf course I am from. Does not matter what fairway you are standing in; the views are spectacular. I have been going up to Las Sendas for the past 7 years and have never been disappointed. The whole experience of Las Sendas is to me amazing. Approximately 6 years ago the PRO Shop brought on a new manager "Mike". I truly think one of the smartest things they did. He totally changed the pro shop around. I prefer to buy my golf clothes at this pro shop over PGA Super Store or my golf course where I get a discount. The staff is over the top friendly, engaging and very professional. I have even taken lesson there and have not ever been disappointed.

Why do I want to write this review?

Because in Arizona there are so many courses to choose from, many do not know where to go to enjoy the full experience. And I think that many of us who live here in Arizona and play multiple times each week forget what we really have available to us 7 days a week.

Being out on the course a few days ago I felt like I was in God's country. Are there a few brown spots? "OF COURSE" It is 115 degrees here. But the work the maintenance crew puts in to keep the course green and enjoyable is amazing. Remember I come from a private PGA golf course and our course does not look half as good as Las Sendas.

I highly recommend to everyone whether you live here or not to go play, eat at the Grill and enjoy the experience at Las Sendas.

I guarantee I will be back there in a few weeks.

Note: for a course trying to go fully private this does you no favors.

I promised my younger son we’d play this course since we live on it, but that we had to wait until prices went down. I paid $69 and my 8 yr old was charged $59 for a 8:10am tee time on a Friday morning scheduled to be 100+ before noon. They were nice enough to let us jump out at 7:40am as that slot was still open.

Yes, I understand it’s summer and courses start drying out, but this course is not in very good shape for the price and first week of July. We were encountering dead spot on every fairway, frequently having to play “preferred lies” due to dead patches and spotty grass. The greens were bad. Not sure how long ago they plugged and sanded, but there was no notice about it being done and it was a challenge to impossible to get balls to roll true. Had I know about the condition in advance, especially the greens, we would have played elsewhere. Considering they are still charging $69-89 weekdays before 9:00am this place is way overpriced for the conditions. Unfortunately, I don’t think they care about public golfers anymore. They don’t offer a junior rate, even during off-season months. They appear to be trying to take it private again, though doubling the price of all their membership options ($70K for equity plus dues) will put that out of reach for nearly all golfers except the highest income tiers.

Greens were a little bumpy due to airification.

Las Sendas is a premier tract in the East Valley. I expected it to be in pristine condition but that was not the case. There are too many bare dirt areas in the fairways and the greens are too bumpy.

Still a good time, but a little disappointing.
