About
Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Las Sendas Golf Club's course, opened in 1995 and among the toughest U.S. courses. Two Zagat surveys have ranked it among the top 50 U.S. golf courses.
Las Sendas Golf Club offers a desert course demanding top play as it takes golfers through the Usery Mountains, with a vista of Phoenix as the tradeoff for managing rough land close to 1,800 feet above the desert. Jones didn't create a course with whimsical decorations like railroad ties, and he didn't build targets. The golf course is for those who strategize, mapping the way from tee to green.
After a round at Las Sendas Golf Club, head to Las Sendas Grille, for the full bar, including wines from California, Australia and Europe, as well as four tap beers and domestic and imported bottles.

Not worth it
Sand traps needs work, weeds growing in a lot of them.
Top 10 course at a value!!
I've golfed Las Sendas a few times in the past and am constantly amazed at the quality of this course for the money!! I would easily put this course up in the same tier with any of the best courses in Scottsdale or Phoenix. Greens were perfect, fairways well maintained, and layout is very picturesque. The only issues I could see was the traps could use fresh sand. Las Sendas is a must do every trip to Mesa!!

Could not play as my playing partner and myself were diagnosed with covid the day before. As we are responsible people and considered contagious we didn't go to the course and as breakfast was part of the package did not go to the clubhouse as well. Phoned pro shop to cancel but only left message as call was not answered. Cost us $200.00 as no refunds. I have played this course at least 20 time in the last 10 years. Will not book again with agency

They do not care about their customers
Love this course. I have played it twice. I was supposed to play it on January 31st 2022 as part of a group of 12 guys that have played it the last few years. However, my daughter had a medical emergency and I had to fly back to Indiana on the 29th. Las Sendas was notified on the 29 that one of our group had an emergency and could not play. Las Sendas did not care. Said that the cancellation was inside of their policy and refused any refund or credit. Las Sendas does not care about you or people in general. I will have to avoid playing there in the future. They are not my kind of people. The other courses on my trip were much more understanding.

Welcome back
It's actually been about 8 years since I last played Las Sendas and it did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly / helpful. The course was in amazing shape and as challenging as any in the Valley. The views, you can see as far as the Superstitions. I certainly won't wait 8 years to play it again

Nice course, well kept, some challenging holes.
Enjoyed the round. Paired with three other non-members who had played the course before, which helped me navigate around the course. Some opportunity for long hitters to cut off some distance, like the first hole dogleg. Greens roll true, fairways are in great shape.

Las Sendas... Has to be one of the best courses in the Valley of the Sun. It is quite challenging for a14 handicap, what with the narrow, slope-y fairways, rolling greens and bunkers guarding every approach shot, but still quite playable from the Blue/White tee combo. When we played, the course was in great shape too, which is something of a miracle in the desert in winter.
Be sure to bring a few extra golf balls or be sure that your ball will always land in a safe position. While we only lost 2 golf balls among the 3 of us, there are several holes where hitting the fairway doesn't guarantee a safe position when the ball stops rolling.
We didn't eat at the restaurant (hot dogs don't count), but the course had plenty of options for food and beverages and given the shape the course was in, I suspect the restaurant is up to par as well.
We had a great time. Highly recommended.
