About
Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Las Sendas Golf Club's course, opened in 1995 and among the toughest U.S. courses. Two Zagat surveys have ranked it among the top 50 U.S. golf courses.
Las Sendas Golf Club offers a desert course demanding top play as it takes golfers through the Usery Mountains, with a vista of Phoenix as the tradeoff for managing rough land close to 1,800 feet above the desert. Jones didn't create a course with whimsical decorations like railroad ties, and he didn't build targets. The golf course is for those who strategize, mapping the way from tee to green.
After a round at Las Sendas Golf Club, head to Las Sendas Grille, for the full bar, including wines from California, Australia and Europe, as well as four tap beers and domestic and imported bottles.

Beautiful Course
Other than the pace of play, the day was perfect. Only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars is because they were having a scramble on the course the day we played. The scramble really slowed play down as we waited on every hole for every shot. I will be back to play again. The staff is very friendly, the waitress we had was top notch. & the course is absolutely beautiful. I would strongly recommend playing this course.

Nice course and layout
Enjoy the course, but pace of play was bad, summoned a marshall on the 6th hole, but pace didn't improve until the middle of the back night.

It was my first time playing this beautiful but challenging course. I am a 5 handicap and played the golds. I shot a 79. The further you go back the better the view, but the harder it is. The fairways are big and some tee shots are hidden fairways. The greens will get you. Small and the pin locations make for a challenging putt. The pace of play was perfect, didn’t wait for a single shot. Overall one of the nicest courses I’ve played.

Very Poor Course Management
We were enable to finish our round (short 3 holes) due to the slowness of the players in front! We were into the fifth hour and it was getting dark! We only were a twosome. The ranger changed out halfway through and the ranger that filled in tried to move them along but it remained slow! This is a lot of money to pay for poor scheduling. We were booked for 1:50 and moved to 2:00, we presume this was to slip in some additional players. I would have a hard time recommending this course to my other golfer friends. There should not be slipping of other players into the already scheduled times.

Love the layout and challenge of Las Sendas but the tee boxes, lack of ranger presence and general staff demeanor leaves something to be desired.

Slooow
Course was in great condition. Nice day warm and sunshine. Pace of play was a crawl, Marshall said there was a slow group 2 or 3 groups ahead of us. The womans club had several groups ahead of us as well and they didn't help matters either. We had to wait on every shot. I get it the course has to be careful not upset people or they won't come back. Slow play ruined our day, I shot 39 on the front and struggled to a 49 on the back because we were waiting and couldn't concentrate. I look forward to playing Las Sendas every year when we come to Arizona. What we paid I expect a better experience. Very disappointed.

Visited Las Sendas many times as it’s always consistently good. It’s Not for beginners. Only issue was greens were fast but rock hard. Check spin nigh on impossible. Friendly team on and off course.
