About
Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Las Sendas Golf Club's course, opened in 1995 and among the toughest U.S. courses. Two Zagat surveys have ranked it among the top 50 U.S. golf courses.
Las Sendas Golf Club offers a desert course demanding top play as it takes golfers through the Usery Mountains, with a vista of Phoenix as the tradeoff for managing rough land close to 1,800 feet above the desert. Jones didn't create a course with whimsical decorations like railroad ties, and he didn't build targets. The golf course is for those who strategize, mapping the way from tee to green.
After a round at Las Sendas Golf Club, head to Las Sendas Grille, for the full bar, including wines from California, Australia and Europe, as well as four tap beers and domestic and imported bottles.

Great course built around excellent landscape.
Had a excellent experience golfing. Course was in fantastic shape. Very fun to play and challenging. Everyone was friendly. Stayed for lunch as well. Staff was great and food was excellent. Thanks for the memories.

Great time
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you know this will be a great experience. Beautiful setting, well maintained landscape, friendly staff, and wonderful facility.
Very nice range (although it does face the morning sun) and putting & chipping greens.
Attendant was quick to help with clubs and answered all my questions.
The layout is top-notch...and conditions were perfect. Some very unique and challenging holes, with rewards for good shots and trouble for those that stray. I was paired with a member, so they kept me informed on ideal shot & placement. It's one of those courses you can't wait to play a 2nd time when you'll know the course better. Red Mountain is a beautiful backdrop on a few holes.

Desert golf at its best!
Great time up at Las Sendas, which is in the Mesa foothills. Immaculate fairways and greens . Challenging yet accessible for most. You are a guest at a high-end semi-private club. We played it twice and it got even more fun the second time. A couple of forced carries may limit some players. It this is not primarily a target golf course. Enjoy!

Very nice course
Course was in excellent condition. Greens very smooth and slick. Hard to get enough spin on wedge shots to stick. Putts were very fast, but held their lines. Course layout was both interesting and moderately challenging. Would definitely recommend and play here again.

one of my favorite courses. Every shot can lead you to trouble. I love this course except the bunkers are always terrible. Hard and full of rocks.

Course was fantastic!
First time playing and will definitely be back! Course was challenging and fun. Some real risk / reward decisions. Tee boxes need some repair but the rest of the course was immaculate!

Delays
There was a frost delay for 1 hour+, no communication was sent out via email, on an app, or anything. A lot of other courses send out something to give a heads up.

Played Jan 14-19. Like the desert style layout. Short par 3s.
Longish par 4s. Bunkers are questionable—too gravelly, otherwise enjoyed the course.and it was in good shape.

Las Sendas did not disappoint
Referred by a golfer we paired up with earlier in our stay, and did not disappoint. For us Canadians the price of golf here is very expensive, but when we spend $90 at a mediocre course, what's another $42 to play this gem. My playing partner repeated over and over "I really like this golf course!" And so did I. Despite a frost delay we had an exceptional day on the course. Highly recommend.

Tough Course
Not for the faint hearted. Slope rating off 141 off the back tees is well justified.
Course in great shape. Fairways vey lush. Greens true, but hard to read. Bunkers very consistent, but some very deep.
Teed off at 1:12pm and got 18 holes in before dark. So good pace of play.

Having fivesomes on course slows play and is frustrating to watch. Maybe members but public play and pay should not be slowed down.
