Golden Hills Golf Club

I liked everything about this course except for one thing. Even in the summer when you have fewer golfers, you should still have a marshal traveling around to police the pace of play. There are groups who don’t want to let a single play through even though there are no golfers visible in front of them, they don’t know how to play ready golf, and have no compunction about searching for a lost ball for a considerable amount of time while you stand on the tee watching. I ran into the beer girl 4 times but never saw a marshal.

Make sure that you have an open mind, remember it’s summer time and it’s been hot. Are there some things that are not perfect? Yes but the green’s are in great shape and roll true. Had a great time will be back soon.

The greens were 95% great, the fairways had too many brown spots, 2 fairways had way too much water, but it was a fun day.

I wondered why the course was half the price of other courses in the area. Now I know. The fairways are mostly a mixture of bare dirt, clumps of grass and weeds. The greens were a bit rough but got better over the round. It was a cheap round, but I had fun.

Very disappointed to see the condition of the course when we got out there. Are you guys going out of business? If you aren’t already then I can’t imagine this course will be around much longer. I grabbed the tee time because of the price but $40 is still too much to be playing a grass-less golf course.

From now on I will just get juiced by the $90 tee times at other courses.

The golf course was in the worst shape I have ever seen a golf course in. There was no grass. What was there wasn’t mowed. It was horrible conditions! There were plenty of employees but not much work going on. No water on the course in 120 degree weather. We could buy it. Soda was five dollars a bottle. The course had offers of buy one green fee get one free but it was not offered on golf now. I will definitely not return!

Golf is hard enough now add in fairways with no grass, only dry dirt. Don’t even pull out your 52,56, or 60 degree wedges. I’ve played this course before in the past never seen it that bad. To be honest the course should be free, just pay for the Cart. Just saying…

The pro shop and starter were great. The course had been punched and a couple greens were dried out and pretty rough. Overall course is fun, challenging and a great value for your weekend golfer. Look forward to trying their taco and margaritas later this month.

Friendly service. Greens were OK. Course is in horrible condition otherwise.

There’s more mud on the course than grass. They don’t maintain anything it looks like. If you hit a great shot, there’s a high chance it landed in a puddle or mud from the over watering.

My cart got stuck trying to retrieve my balls…numerous times. I was doing donuts in the middle of the fairway.

Worse golf course I’ve seen ever. Stay away

Staff was friendly. Course could use some TLC empty on a Saturday morning. Completed 18 holes in about 3.5 hrs.

Greens are trash.

Each year the course just gets worse. Now the new manager acts more like a thug than a golf pro. Plus, even more dirt and crap conditions than ever before. It is sad, must bulldoze it all…..stay away and go to another course !
